Are we at risk of becoming the next GWS with this group?

A list with all the talent in the world, but a structure and game plan that doesn’t get the very best out of them…

This is not a sack Voss wack and is not based on just tonight, we have been poor since the half way point of last year…

No i think you are spot on, honestly. After we don't make finals again this year, no doubt to mainly losing so many players to injuries (average of 1-2 injuries per game backs up my claim), hopefully they'll initiate a mini rebuild.

Areas of concern:

Coaching is starting to look very suspect. Dawson/Laird allowed to do what they want in the first quarter when they are literally Adelaide's only prime movers in terms of setting up play, bizarre to say the least.

Cripps - for all his fearlessness in the contest I sense a strange mental fragility here. He is a champion but just something in the eyes (yes it's the 'vibe') suggests he doesn't believe.

Midfield - When Cripps is off, we just look like absolute trash in there. Sidestepped at will.

Not interested in kicking Plowman but think Kemp would have been the better option here if they knew McGovern was 50/50, at least he can intercept mark.

Kennedy doesn't go well first-up clearly. Hewett is injured. Dow?

We are really not a good team this year, it has been clear for some time. Reckon we just scrape into the eight or miss narrowly again, just a middling bunch who have all the talent in the world but will never have the mindset to win when it counts.

Positives:

Cowan, Newman, thought CCurnow tried hard, SOS tried hard, Hollands tried hard. Anyone else?

We had more inside 50's but our delivery inside the 50 is a mess. Just bomb it long and hope Harry and Charlie mark it

The team that comes off a five day break runs all over us. Our quicker players looked slow. And our best player for the night played his first game.

Every side with a bit of speed is going to run us into the ground, especially now our one wood - contested ball - has gone.

But the thing that drives me mad is our skills. Our mid forward connection is diabolical. As bad as Freo and they don’t have Charlie and Harry.

No point blaming the defenders tonight. They were under siege from the get go because of a midfield that couldn’t be bothered to turn up.

When will this garbage end? When will we finally stand up and not just win but bury teams? When?

Our setup in the 1st qtr was truly horrendous. Add a lack of intensity, it was like we were witches hats

Playing slow mids off HB, should end tonight

Dawson dictating terms, without any pressure was bizarre. Acres would have been the right matchup

Missing players with some toe doesn't help, but would have made little difference with that level of intent

Another tough game next week, a decent response is a must
