Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

I agree. The game has been broken the entire time. Makes sense now with short quarters , choppy editing and a clear focus on cut scenes.

Yes it was. It took months for a decent patch to improve the game to an acceptable standard.

I had never been so frustrated playing a video game than with that one on release.

Im sure there was a “patch” thread on bf for it too.

Couldn’t mark. Bumbs were overpowered. Games crashing constantly. Saved data wipes. It had it all.

You sure you're talking about AFL Live, or Live 2 or one of the Evo games?

AFL Live definitely had bugs but nothing like this. It launched in the best state of any AFL game post-PS2 era. This is Cyberpunk on Xbox One/PS4 or that Ashes game territory.

I watched streams last night man. That Tigers one was spruiking it heavily and nay saying/redirecting any negative feedback.

No need to fix. Game was ready 3 weeks ago, it was Microsoft's fault it got pushed back.

To be fair to the creators themselves they were on a hiding to nothing, you're called directly into the company you want to get them on side, can't exactly be saying every aspect is shit.
