So we can conclude Training mode, along with single player mode just never existed and they’ve taken us for a ride since day 1 I swear this mob never fails to deliver on failing to deliver.

We're all disappointed we don't have the full feature-listed game...and that patches have slowed, issues still exist, communication has been off.... but it doesn't mean all logical thought needs to be thrown out and we pull out the torches and pitchforks.
Pretty sure he's just as disappointed as anyone...

I don’t think its measured at all. I admire his ‘it is what it is’ view in an attempt to be a philanthropist but he’s forgetting people have paid money for a product that came with certain promises/features that haven’t remotely been met and then we just get left in the dark on why. Is it the end of the world? No. Its a game. Sure in the scheme of things maybe its not a huge issue to many (including me) however its too far gone for any ‘benefit of the doubt’ BS. There’s direct quotes, promises and statements alluding to more than what we got as consumers of ‘the deepest AFL game ever’.

Exactly I am disappointed. A lot of people who are on here complaining are actually able to play the game. As an Xbox owner I’ve had to wait and are still waiting. However that doesn’t mean I don’t try to think logically about things. Unless I know what is going on behind close doors I shouldn’t just assume the negative purely because my anger or bias gets the better of me. That ain’t me. I try to keep things in perspective and show abit of common sense every now and then. I know many people won’t agree with my views and that’s ok. Not everyone in life agrees and that’s fine

I'm curious what build of the game they are testing Pro Teams on because online was garbage when I returned my copy and there's been zero online fixes for consoles even though it is a "priority".

Yeah this is the interesting part...
When testing, you'd want to change one variable (in this case Pro Teams).
But with 3 different platform versions, plus who knows what other changes are in the works....are they being integrated, and what each platform will get.

For online though, I only play against friends... so I use the 'Share Play' option on PS5 and I don't have to deal with the differences. haha.

Seriously? An issue that has been complained about constantly since release and they'll just see what they can find out 8wks later!

Surely with all the bug and suggestion reports that have been submitted since launch they would have a list of those most frequently mentioned and whether they are a priority or not.

The precision hand passing should have been a feature at launch. I don't even think in 23 you can drop punt in a different direction than you're facing in, when you could drop punt in other directions no matter where you're facing in the 2011 AFL game.

I think it's fair to say we just want closure. We're all coming back to this thread every couple of days, or steam, or heaven forbid the Big Ant forum, hoping to see some news about what's coming when, or a new patch release.

If we had clear info about what to expect and vaguely when to expect it, that would make a huge difference. If the answer was the game is basically complete other than minor fixes and pro team, fine. Get a refund and move on. If the answer was x y z still to come over the next 3 months, then support on this game will stop. With semi regular updates on where patches are at in between - also fine.

But being completely in the dark means we're coming back here maybe daily, checking for news, receiving none, and each time it just adds a bit more frustration and disappointment to the mix. Hence all the positive people starting to turn. Really is a horrendous marketing/communication strategy from all angles.

That's fair... being burnt by what's previously happened.
But the comments were just speculation that Nacon were calling the shots, and given they're now involved in the testing, that's probably a fair assumption.

It's probably better speculation than some of the other things I've seen on Twitter/Facebook.

I am a bit disappointed in there not being a huge difference in communication on the new BA Boards. Was hoping to get more answers, and have more definitive responses to some gameplay questions.

Doesn't help that there's a Cricket 24 board that launched at the same time... and about a million people posting obscure and unstructured questions in there! Haha

Honestly even if they are figuring it out as they go, whilst far from ideal I’d cop that if they actually just keep us in the loop of what’s happening.
It’s the deafening silence that’s change my mindset around the game than the actual game itself.

Considering our luck with this thing, I swear the next dev that does an AFL game will either just say "You get nothing and you're an idiot for buying this, Piss off!" to our faces or have such a silent promotion that not even we will know about it. Just our luck with this it seems...

Who would’ve thought 6 months ago we’d be saying 2 months after release of AFL23, that AFL Evolution 2 was the more complete experience.

So now people aren’t allowed to air their grievances on the game based on their experiences because you say so? I can’t speak for others but I never said I hated the game, but the bare bones of it in its current state added in with bugs doesnt entice repetitive plays for me.

Also, we’re not allowed to point out the game is buggy from its patches? Wipe 85% of this thread then. Wait around all you want, the games been out for 8 weeks exactly, not an unreasonable amount of time for things to have been fixed to an acceptable level. Oh and its also still not available on an entire console, but sure, have a dig at those less patient than you.

Did I say people weren’t aloud to? I don’t recall in any part of what I said that people can’t speak their mind. This is this problem with this forum now, everyone is out to get everyone it’s a joke. I’m not out to get anyone, I just can’t deal with the constant hate that gets spewed repeatedly from the same people and when people don’t agree with them, they get abused.
It’s just a repetitive cycle and I can see why everyone is jumping ship to the BA forums cause there’s not arguing or toxic bullshit.

Please read below and tell me you don’t feel exactly the same because, I think your missing the point of my comment.

This forum has absolutely gone to shit over the last few months. It started off as such a good place, people came here to read people’s issues and constructive criticism of the game. Criticisms that actually helped fix parts of the game on some of the patches.

The problem is the more people that found the forum and had a different agenda, that constructive criticism then turned into abuse of the devs, abuse of the game, granted I know someone of it I can understand was warranted. It then got to people that were in it from the start actually enjoying the game. They would come on here and post something positive and then get abused for it by the majority that had now come through on BA negativity vendetta.

Once that took over that’s pretty much where it stayed. The people that were enjoying the game no longer posted anymore, If they did they were posted over about how shit the game is and they just gave up. Now it’s at the point where there is literally no positivity and everyones over it. It’s literally a place where you post something and someone will have an issue with it and an argument will start.

BA has started their own forum now and I’m not surprised everyone has flocked there. People are back to posting positivity about the game and are excited about what’s to come and surprise surprise you came back here and everyone’s makin fun of the posts saying they’re a kiss ass [emoji23] like really? No people are doing exactly what they used to do on here before being positive and enjoying something suddenly was such an issue.
