I’d say Pies best in form.. hence in 2 weeks will be the real test and if we get up we’re a serious contender
I said last week, that we were hitting our straps at the right end of the season. A couple of our losses might come back to bit us in the end.

I am mystified!

Team IQ has improved 2000%. They were football ******* morons and now footy Einsteins …. don’t know what exactly changed, don’t care … starting to love this team again, will always love this ******* club, but this team, this team, has got me believing again.

Thank you boys. Last four weeks you have shown pride in the jumper and that’s all I ask to love you!
And now seeing cheeky things come off like blind hand passes, dinky Taps and such.

Defense is looking so strong at the moment. Weiters is clunking everything, Kemp is getting better every week and Gov has found some confidence again. Balance around the ground is really good at present. Hopefully H isn't long term, we're building some good momentum.

You'd think owies calf would be hurting a bit more after watching Motlop kick 4 [emoji1787]

Good to have pressure on spots when someone goes down

Good performance but seemed to revert the previous version in the 2nd half. Good that the goals were kicked early.

Great to see those promoted performing, and being able to rely on those in the 2’s stepping up without reservations.

Kemp, McGovern and Newman were incredible down back. They don’t just destroy their opponents 1-1, they generate enormous amounts of drive from defence.

Our midfield spread was incredible, and part of this, IMO, was our backline being able to create so much drive.

They are a but vulnerable against really tall opponents and dominant opposition midfields who get the ball in fast.

As is everyone to be honest. And the good they bring, the ability to counter punch and the mobility to bring our press up the ground makes us much more dangerous.

We are trying to win games now, not just reying to avoid losing

My favourite part was watching Conor “the Ferrari” Rozee take his mark and quickly go back for his goal as if the game was still alive - even though they were 9 goals down with 10 minutes to go - it was the only time the whole game he moved with any urgency.

I guess we’ll just have to ride our “Holden commodore” Walsh and see where it takes us.

Those who wrote Mots of how do you like those apples?

He's a second-year player, a small forward, in 18 who was mostly struggling in the games that he played. He's going to come in and out of games just as he did today. However, he is someone who has a lot of natural ability and smarts that you just cannot train.

To come into the side without notice and to produce the moments that he did today is seizing the moment. He and Jack playing the way that they did were catalysts to argueably our most impressive win in many years.

To beat a team on an unstoppable roll like Port Adelaide we're on while we're down on structures was simply phenomenal.
Up the mighty Blues
His goals came when they mattered so much class.A bit like Milne not super fast but clean and highly skilled

The lids off for me....

Last 6 weeks, Walsh lowering eyes as that phase progressed

That's what will take him to another level

Great point. I was level 2 in the pocket when Walsh spilt the pack, held the ball for a second and laced out a bullet to a forward (I want to say JSOS but it may have been Charlie).
As you said a month or so ago that would have been bombed long to the goalsquare.
It was a joy to watch.

It's brilliant because we've now got this mix of a top 3 defense - yes actually - and a forward line that can explode. We just kicked 120 against a top 2 team. Literally what is required for finals footy. Defense, pressure, X factor up forward, key position guns.

Increase our offers to Gov and TDK(he looks much better when Pitto's out) and keep 'em.
Fog was our best small fwd and JSOS and Newy were close to BOG.
Fog was our best 4q small. Motts had him shaded in the first half.
