I am watching the replay now.Game deserved another watch. Loved Acres (beside a couple of wayward kicks) and TDK’s games.
Transition, speed by hand and decision-making was elite.
Rozee wasn't really a factor and Butters was non existent.I said this to my mate before the game. As good and as dominant as their midfield is, they are slightly undersized in comparison to our boys.

Acres has been very good, astute pick up by club. Cost very little, but having a big impact. Just wish that the coaches would tell all of our players to be aware when he is about to have a kick. That they should be on their bike and ready to provide a handball option.
If he never had to kick the ball, he would be so much more effective. I know this probably could not happen, as the oppos would be a wake up to it. Nonetheless just crossed my mind.
Being humiliated by your own team winning can't be easy.
what's with the negativity old man? Let everyone enjoy the win!Being humiliated by your own team winning can't be easy.
Yeah, Acres was very good, a real physical presence. But I think his kicking has improved with the team's form. Not sure what you could put that down to though.
I think he thought the ball had bounced over the line and he may well have been right (footage was inconclusive!)For me, one of the most important parts of the game was when Weitering coughed up the goal in the first quarter. Ok… so he was silly. But he was trying to take the game on.
However, the difference at the moment is that if he had have done that in round 9, he’d have gone back into his shell and hung his head. This time, he went back, regrouped, and continued to take the game on (as evidenced by the out of bounds on the full later in the same quarter).
It demonstrated to me that the players aren’t petrified of making mistakes at the moment. And long may it continue.
Certainly looked that way from one angle then the close up saw Weits body obstruct any view and dunstall use that shot to conclusively say it didn't cross the line. Did have a giggle at dunstall thereI think he thought the ball had bounced over the line and he may well have been right (footage was inconclusive!)
Thank *Harry clear of ACL
Young was actually stiff to be dropped. Has battled manfully in the ruck the last couple of weeks. Don't particularly like him in defence however.Young would have given them a big hug and warm glass of milk
Its great when you have others "on song " around the fall of the ball aswell ala Mots,JSos,Martin. Before the Bye we would play Mots,Durdin and Owies and they werent anywhere near the fall of the ball or playing as crumbers so ot was bomb it on the heads on Charlie and Harry.
Yesterday we looked and played a completely different game style, speed wins.
Should be a couple on their bike, a handful dotted through the first and secind tier, 1 or 2 in the carpark and maybe send Saady down to the prayer room...can't hurt.Acres has been very good, astute pick up by club. Seems to struggle boundary side, a football consuming boundary line. Needs a blinker on.I like the idea of the butcher playing in the forward line. He is a very solid mark and contested player. When kicking at goal, we could tell him to close his eyes as he would have a better chance imo.
CD rankings are putrid. Yes jsos has been magnificent but votes based on anything cd publishes - no. Most clubs don't have a bar of them btw. Run their own stat collections and metrics because the cd 'analysis' isn't good.
Motlop simply wasn't our second best and charlie simply wasn't that far down. It's weightings are rubbish.
probably a more balanced take than mineHmmm...not the be all and end all but far from rubbish. Take into account many different factors. For the armchair supporter without access to club inside info they are great. Unless you mean the AFL dreamteam stats? They are truly rubbish.
Maybe a thousand bucks. Was some good front and centre work.Yep. Durdin seems a fair way away from it all ATM. But we have to remember he was playing a tough position in an underpeforming side. Jesse Motlop too was rubbish but has come back a million bucks.
probably a more balanced take than mine. I'll just never forget mentioning CD rankings to a mate who worked at the Swans and he had a good laugh - certainly can't be be all end all even for us armchair enjoyers
Year by year from here on end, but will be top 10 in our BnF this year, so gets another year
Questioning umpires is a ploy, and hammering an opponent is a statement for the rest of the game
He is a lock for now
1/2M bucks, disappeared in the 2nd half & was back to the prev performing Jesse IMO. Gets caught too often when up the ground/open play probably needs to keep close to goal & crumbing (small forward role).Yep. Durdin seems a fair way away from it all ATM. Owies still the preference of the 3 in the current line-up.
