Just watched Million Dollar Listing LA. Man that show and those houses makes The Block look like they're making dollhouses.

Interior designers love that stuff. They loved the H2 piano stairs in the living room. The thing is, it doesn't always to reflect the Market.

You may have some ugly looking rooms but If they are generally easy fixes, like painting or swapping an oven out or probably even the ties on the stairs can be re- done easily then buyers will look past it if it'd what they are looking for. I.e 4 bed + study, and of course location.

I recall the series with purple and Ronnie and georgia. Ronnie and Georgia made **** all because there house was closest to the main road in the court. It doesn't matter that it's the block, basic realestate principles still apply.

Steph and Gian not having a retreat upstairs but a massive master bedroom is just stupid.

These will be lucky to sell without the help of serial pest Danny Wallis.

That's bad for channel 9.

I dont know, and I am no expert, but maybe they should just get back to the basics of what the show was actually about in season 1... renovating.

Even my wife is over the drama, sponsorship plugs and being offsite to do challenges. It's gotten worse, and the amount of block bucks they get is almost enough to buy a house.

Actually spend full episodes focusing on houses actually renovating and not tuning on the drama and the contestant going offsite to do shopping. Have contestants spend more time on site and doing more work.

Brett's comments about "I'm paying you to do more work as I am here to have fun" actually has shown that the Block has gotten worse. If they were serious about a renovation show maybe open their eyes and do the following:

• Bring in couple with at least 1 trade certified background.
• Scrap the challenges (couples can use Salvos FFS as interior options if poor)
• stuff the walk arounds. We don't need a whole episode each week hearing Shelly's opinion.
• don't give toxic couples air time.

Best parts of the Block for me are: obviously Reveals, Open Houses, explanations of building + construction processes, and yeah I'll admit, some drama. Least fave: Shelley walk arounds + challenges + maccas runs.
