It's not spin at all. It was merely an illustration designed to show how how small the margins between media adulation/media interrogation are.

Even a cursory glance at the stoppage in question would let you know that Hewett was not around the stoppage (my memory was that he was on the bench but I can't be 100% sure). Kennedy was on crisp, cripps on Josh Daicos, Boyd on Lipinsky, cottrell on #36. Cerra loose behind the stoppage.
Walsh follows daicos from the boundary to the back of the contest, ball spills between Cottrell and Cerra, cerra gets grabbed around the neck and ball spills upwards. Walsh is half a step behind Daicos who is heading to the the front of the contest. #36 taps the disputed ball forward of the contest where daicos runs on to it now 3 yards in front of Walsh. The rest is history.

There were plenty of possibilities in the contest.
1) cerra cleans up the loose ball.
2) Cerra gets a free kick
3) cottrell halves the Ariel ball resulting in a stoppage.
4) Walsh mark's tighter for longer.

None happened. Daicos played it exceptionally and reaped the rewards.

The margins are very fine though.
The actual details are irrelevant. Cotters or whoever. Basics are basics. Walsh 'cheated' and probably got chewed out for it. The loss is not that moment but that decision was wrong.... So were a huge number all game and because the margins are fine sound decision making and trust are very important. Hewett ignored options and ran into 5 pies players tackled holding the ball. Walsh ran past a mark and called for a handball and ran straight into 2 pies the second he received it. Turnover. Both daicos goals were decision making errors, Harry had a great game. His late turnover... Not skills... Decision making. The margins are fine. But we'll often find games where we are far more talented / tough come down to those small margins because of continuous strange decisions.... If Walsh said at 3qtr time to Voss - daicos is their match winner let me take him this qtr what's his grade gonna be from Voss? Oops level....

Where was the stoppage cohesion the first 3qtrs before it became more 1on1 in the last? Why was an extra allowed at the stoppage from the pies in the 2nd and 3rd to literally stand on Cripps toes whilst his opponent held him from behind? Hewett, Walsh, acres, cerra none of them thought let's just give a free kick away and make them aware they'll cop it if they double Cripps. Why didn't our extra come into play wherever it was? We could've had a cunners/ durdin act as a counter just to free Cripps up in those quarters. The decision making all the way through is questionable.

Once again my original post was to show the thin margin between success and failure in that last minute play only.

Plenty of other questions there, hoping that you get some answers for them from someone.

Does anyone have an idea why Orazio is so out of form?

I was pumped that we picked him up for nothing in off season and thought he would have shown much more

However he seems out of sorts, confidence and not playing with that energy and pep that is his trademark

Does he just need a spell to get confidence? You don’t lose all that ability overnight
He's not out of form, he exactly what he's been like for years. He just not any good!

Williams has looked off for a few games now. He needs a stint in the 2s to get his confidence and belief back. Cut him some slack, he has had a huge lay off from the highest level.

Marchbank isn't the quality sort of player that can slot straight back in. I'd go with Kemp. I love Marchy but unless there is an absolute blinder of a 2nd year (and this goes for Martin and Cunners) then we really need to have a hard think about whether they stay on the list. If those 3 cant get through 10 games a year then we will not get close to a flag, premiership teams dont have those guys on their lists.

Martin has apparently been through a very thorough training block so happy to see him in and we are pretty bare in the small/med forward cupboard. I get the feeling on Fantasia out but Durdin hasn't exactly lit it up either, though I'd rather drop Fantasia.

Timelines on Saad and/or Fog? 2-3 weeks?? before the bye??

This week I'd love to see King Charles get off the chain and roam up to half forward, nearly wing and create some forward entries, he has such as weapon of a kick. Keep Pitto and TDK and get TDK drifting forward, nearly interchanging with Harry for 2nd ruck, cause some confusion. Kennedy must start, making him sub was ****ing stupid. Again get him drifting forward and (hopefully) with Martin back those two could combine for 4-5 goals.

I think his best work is done in shoot-out football. Plenty of forward line space to run into, no key forward of note to cause the area to be flooded. Back and forth offensive football with little defensive work required coming out.

At least that's how I fondly remember the * sides of the time.

I wonder how often he's open in good position but gets burned as we long bomb to H&C?

Nothing obvious comes to mind. Our forward line is almost always clogged up. I feel that Fantasia is hardly ever goalside of his opponent, but I don't know that for sure. I just haven't seen him putting in the sprints.

With the cost of living as it is, I'm working on the loaves and fishes thing.

Would like to see Binns in for Fantasia. Can’t imagine Martin would be fit enough yet for a game of this calibre.
Young out for Gov.
Hollands for someone. I’d drop Williams but I bet he won’t be dropped.
