We don't want Masten or Palmer neither is likely to develop into a game breaking match winner. They are both work horse types and we need match winners, players that can hurt the opposition all over the ground.
Both Cotchin and Ebert are more likely to be match winners.

186 cm, aint no midget, Mastern is 178cm so a bit smaller - however in saying that, Crawf, Cousins and our own Foley are that short and are still superior midfielders

I don't think that Ebert is our first target anyway.
I would be really surprised if we do not take Cotchin with our first round selection assuming that Carlton do take Kruezer.

Cotchin...Cotchin.....Cotchin....The only hurdle may be if Carlton takes him with No1. He is quick, very smart and tough. He is also good overhead for his size and wants to come to RFC from all reports.

carlton wont take him, I saw the vid of kruezer plucking the leather out of the air like picking cherries, he's already be their best player bigger than 5"8 Our only challenge is declaring whether cotchin is the best mid remaining , appears he has some challengers

He also may have some "go home" issues given his family ties there, but he is a genuine top 5.

Seriously, if you guys don't take Cotchin at 2 you'll probably cop more abuse than over Fiora or Tambling.

The only question for me is whether, with Foley and Deledio you take another shorter, fast burst player, or do you go for Morton who is taller, more an outside player with great skills.

Interesting, my Tiges-fan mate says the polar opposite. He says your best midfielders are Tuck, Foley, KJ, Coggers (RIP), who are all inside. You need some outsiders (like Lids) to actually DO DAMAGE when you have the ball, rather than make idiotic decisions or randomly spray it. I would have thought someone who can use the ball with class is the go.

I think your dodgy internet info is right, Yes Cotchin has class, but he was terrible in every game of the u18 nab championships. Did not kick a goal or make the best players once for Vic Metro. Ebert Palmer and Morton were the standouts

I don't think that you can read a lot into his performance in the championships. I have heard (but am happy to be corrected) that he actually had a broken toe when the carnival was on which would have affected his game dramatically but he has been great for the last 4-6 weeks in the best players every week

You can't really read much into his Championships form because he was playing in a very very weak SA side.

Anything that gets him to #3 for us...

Bottom line, anyone who goes in the top 6 is more than likely going to be good, but will be interesting to see which way things go.

Morton an outside player isn't Fiora an outside player as well and your saying we should consider Morton thats why we pissed off Fiora Geeeeees
