Not keen on any of our players playing in it. Not worth the risk.FYI.
Burgoyne, Finlayson, JHF, and Rioli all named in Indigenous AS Squad.
Other players of note, Amon, Impey and Pickett.
Izak Rankine is in the squad but there's some doubt whether he'll be available.

INDIGENOUS GAME IN 9 DAYS, PRE-SEASON IN 19 DAYS. FEEL THE EEEEEEELECTRICITY!
I would've thought Burton's kicking and speed are his two best attributes?POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2025
Horne-Francis - the sky's the limit
Bergman - he's playing well down back but could get better, also hit the midfield
Georgiades - maintaining great late season form. Top 10 goal kicker for the year, maybe 5.
Lukosius over Dixon is a major improvement. J-Luk has all the talent but can he put it all together
Sweet - can he get a bit more around the ground and take some relieving marks to help defence
Burgoyne - wing is hard to improve upon. Hopefully gets some time down back.
Logan Evans - rookie wonder on an uphill trajectory
Powell-Pepper - back in the team from injury. Huge boost to hardness and running capacity in the forward line that we missed
Richards - unknown quantity but takes over a guy like Narkle.
Jones - time to play, consistent footy down back. He's got it in him. He just has to believe.
Mead - could go one way or the other. Hopefully gets some time in the midfield to show us what he can do
Lord - has the opportunity but does he have it
Sinn - like Jones, time to accelerate
Lorenz - hopefully gets some time on the other wing to Jr Jr Burger
Berry - hopefully another rookie sensation with class
Williams - like Mead, could go one way or the other
Ratugolea - can he improve. We could do with a tall utility player.
Visentini - can he push hard
Then the young guys looking to naturally improve.
In the finals loss against Sydney, we can improve the team. Gone are Dixon, Fevans and Narkle.
Hovering just outside the 23 now are Ratugolea, Burton and Mead.
Burton took kick outs recently so that is a bit concerning but with the interview with Logan, he said we were looking to become a speedy team which makes it difficult for Burton.
Lukosius, Powell-Pepper and Berry for Dixon, Fevans and Narkle. Severe upgrades there.
The new guy Richards comes in.
Ratugolea will fight with Lord for the CHF, 2nd ruck spot.
Hopefully Burton plays SANFL.
The defenders are youngish but fast and exciting.
Plenty of possible improvement within the team and with individuals.
The coaching is another problem.
If he learns the trade, he would be an awesome defender. He's got all the tools but needs to learn the basics of defending. I'm hoping for him. Also, he's on a longish deal so if he can't nail down a spot this year, its going to be a long term investment for backup.Ratugolea can still be a more than useful defender IMO, it has to be persevered with though if they start throwing him forward early in the season it'll go to fertiliser.
All you need to say to him is to play the basics. No kicking across goal. No 3rd man up when it is a one on one marking contest and leaving his opponent unguarded over the back.Ratugolea can still be a more than useful defender IMO, it has to be persevered with though if they start throwing him forward early in the season it'll go to fertiliser.
When I mentioned that he was taking kickouts, it wasn't a critique on this kicking which is elite but the fact that it might mean he's in the 23. I don't think he's speedy at all and his poor defending makes him look even slower.I would've thought Burton's kicking and speed are his two best attributes?

Couldn't find anything from the last couple years but a quick google search identifies this. I would say this confirms he isn't slow:When I mentioned that he was taking kickouts, it wasn't a critique on this kicking which is elite but the fact that it might mean he's in the 23. No, I don't think I did.You missed someone.
I definitely don't see him as fast and he's rarely on the backside of a forward ready to spoil a lead.Couldn't find anything from the last couple years but a quick google search identifies this. I would say this confirms he isn't slow:
Top five fastest players in 2021
Aliir Aliir 34.54km/h
Ryan Burton 34.49
Connor Rozee 34.42
Mitch Georgiades 34.06
Lachie Jones 33.95
I think you will find that the vast majority of AFL players these days are very quick these days. Definitely not as many plodders like there used to be. The game has got a lot quicker, and all players have had to adapt to that. I just don't think there are many slow players these days and those that are get chewed up and spat out of the system pretty quickly.
Running ability is highly important.
Still living in denial that McKenzie was delistedYou missed someone.
Yeah, give Williams Burtons games throughout the season!Burton couldn't hit simple kicks in the prelims. Was along with Boak the reason why the team collapsed due to the sheer gifting of goals trying to do something at half back but unlike Boak is not 40 years old and supposed to be an elite ball user.
I'm honestly quite done with him. No difference for us if we had just taken the first round pick for Wingard in the trade and let him stay at Hawthorn. Dude does nothing for the club and honestly the effort he plays with is pathetic for a footballer.
Nice trolling with the JHF jumper.
