Are you guys expecting Harvey Thomas to push more into the midfield/wing roles this year, with a few departures in Cumming/Perryman and a few other opportunities opening up through injuries etc?

Super coach brings all the fans to the yard
To be fair outside of the mighty Crom, I've always been a big fan of GWS, like a second favorite team.

Love your kit, and always taken a big liking to a lot of your players (Perryman has been one my personal favorites for a very long time).

However, I cant shy away from the fact that yes, this is a fantasy related question  in a very deep keeper league and tossing up between what I think are two very exciting talents in McMullin and Thomas.

Long term I’m going Muff, but this year might see Thomas get more games

Thomas was just so consistent in his role. His vision inside 50 is elite and he chases and tackles hard.
Rarely turns the ball over.
I think he's straight back in the team after round 1. McMullin I feel like is a great impact player and great in bursts. I'd hazard a guess that he's going to find himself as Sub fairly regularly (that said he did play some mid minutes in the praccy).

I love McMullen and think he is going to be amazing. I think he is very clean, dynamic and a good decision maker. Giants fans probably think I'm his manager.
For me I think Harvey is going to end up a very hardworking and clever player who will be a good role player for 200 games (I see him playing as a small defender, wing or small forward as a Mr fix it)
I think both good long term selections.
Rowsten also worth considering too

For the Muff appreciators here:

Toby McMullin

Put the Giants youngster on your radar in 2025. After the departures of James Peatling, Harry Perryman and Isaac Cumming last October, coach Adam Kingsley has moved McMullin into the midfield group across the summer and has liked what he's seen. The 20-year-old has power, speed and a nice footy IQ, while his versatility is another big asset to his game. McMullin can, and has, been playing inside across pre-season, but he can also move to a wing and across half-forward. He'll miss the first two matches of the season through suspension, but looks a certainty to come straight back into the team. – Riley Beveridge

Im glad they listened to the emails Ive been sending them weekly about my main man Muff :) :)

I feel like a proud father seeing this in the news :)

Sorry to intrude but how's Joe Fonti been tracking over the off season? I know he's suspended early but really liked him last year in the games he played, extraordinary athlete.

Id haven't heard much recently, but at the BNF there was loads of very positive chat. They were saying he needed to work on his defensive accountability.
I assume that was his offseason focus

Coleman candidates preview. The article is bullish on Jesse, with the markets also now having our Jesse as equal Coleman favourite with Curnow.

Despite being thumped by Carlton, Hogan still starred as one of GWS' best with three goals to his name and six marks. It is early days, but Hogan's form doesn't appear to have slowed by any rate - in fact, he might look even better.

The Giants have been tipped to be in the finals hunt again in 2025 and that march toward September will become a lot easier if Hogan is able to play at his best. So far, it appears we may get exactly that.

Very high. I'd expect them both to be playing Opening Round.

After our round 2 bye is a completely different story. Hard to say if either of them will keep their spot once our injured/suspended players return.
Stone will keep his spot. Fonti is behind him in the pecking order. Leake will be watch and see

What are the chances of Leake and Stone playing early?
Stone is probably in our best 22.
Leake will at least start, when everyone is available he may be just outside the 22, but I'd expect he'd play plenty.

How I think we might lineup at first bounce (there will be a few debutant phone calls):

Idun Taylor Whitfield
Ash Buckley Stone
Ward Cogs Kelly
Greene Cadman XOH
Daniels Keeffe Jones

Briggs Snooze Callaghan

Leake HH Angove Gothard

I assume you have Briggs (who is missing) as ruck

I think we will see Rowsten ahead if Wehr

How many on the bench this year… with the sub rule and all that?!

Lots of positives from the first game but I'll list my concerns.

Cadman still getting rather well beaten and not holding marks.

Brown - I mentioned in the preview thread I wasn't convinced that Stringer was better but changed my mind. Stringer is generally holding all those marks Brown dropped, and he dropped alot today. So stringer better option I would say.

XOH still making pretty ordinary drcisions.

Cogs influence is gradually fading in terms of his influence on games.

I agree with most of this, but Cadman marked well second half of last season, had one legitimate one denied today, also harder for him without Hogan or even Riccardi.
XOH is a concern, but still has time to improve.
