I’ve been involved with footy clubs most of my life, still am, and they are one of the most political places you will find.

I’ve been involved with footy clubs most of my life, still am, and they are one of the most political places you will find.

In a nutshell and sparing too many words - Liddle V SOS was 21st century Carlton V Old Carlton managed badly.

Club is totally different animal now and the power of old Carlton billionaires has been flushed and replaced by a very wide spread of sponsors and a membership base representative of the Club's true supporter base.

Early days though - since Carlton has only had its own VFL team for 3 years.

I think you could say that Carlton is now pretty much run like any other decent Club.
