If I were considering bringing in a rookie loop to take TDK VC, who is missing this week and most likely to get a crack and reasonable JS in the next few weeks?

Erasmus, named as emergency so pretty unlikely to play but can't be far off. Has DPP. I'd bring him on up FWD to get a two-for with Kako's score from bench, if it looks good.

I reckon one of Lindsay, Langford or Sharp will be a gun pick. Henderson and Johnson less so.

Just don’t know which one. Might leave it for now & pick whichever one is performing best after round 2

He’s on the fringe. Sub risk and a bad game or two away from getting dropped. That midfield literally just won a flag.

No such concerns for FOS.

You can't just pick a rookie on hype, you gotta factor in JS. Doesn't matter how good he is, all the spots he's competing for are either superstars (Neale, Dunks, Luggage) or young-guns (Lohmann, Fletcher, Raynor, Bailey, Berry). I think he's gotta take his opportunity as the sub or when somebody gets injured. You can't just drop a premiership player for no good reason. Yes he's a talent, but they don't really need him. Is an 18 year old Lashcroft better than Neale, Dunkley, Luggage and Washcroft? No.

He's a correction option for me. Prefer to take the rooks that are coming into the side with a clear role set for them.

I don't understand why he's in 65% of teams...

Completely this.

Best case scenario is he plays and is subbed off.
