Annual reminder to only make your trades before Thursday lockout if you had to.

Had a hard time reversing my trades the other day because it involved somebody in the Utility position. Rollback team I think is not available post lockout if any player locked out is in a different spot

Listening to podcasts, people seem to be a bit off SDK because of the run coming up; I beg to differ. He should get another good score this week which will again lower his BE and even if he averages 70 in his tough run he will generate a heap of cash in best 18 throughout the byes. We aren’t choosing him to be a keeper, but he’s going to get to around 750k I would say and that’s an easy upgrade. 70 for a defender with a bit of unknown in that line is an easy pick for me tbh
Agree with you. His BE is 10, he has Boyd this week and he's now shown a ceiling of 124 which is perfect for a best 18 week. His ownership is high, so ride him until he fails.

I'm able to get Lindsay with my other trade (have Levi & Freijah and the other needed rooks) so there really isn't anything more pressing for me to have to deal with either.

Thanks mate! The only problem is he plays Saturday night so we wont find out till then if hes sub which makes trading Day out harder as hes tomorrow night :/.
It is tough for sure but I wouldn’t worry about things you can’t control too much and you can always fix Hastie next week!

Lovely. I’m the same - luckily don’t have Perryman or Sanders to deal with. Biggest priority is Lindsay. Did you end up starting Zorks? 🤣

Yeah you're right, hes a minor problem currently, Until theirs another 4 things to fix haha :p. For now its Perryman and Sanders next week as my only problems if Hastie stays in the side but something will pop up.

Would you keep perryman over him then?
Depends what else there is to do, id definitely make sure I had ashcroft and Lindsay, but after that it depends on team structure a bit.
I reckon most teams who have to trade in either of Ashcroft or Lindsay this week dont have a midfield spot free for Knevitt, and then Hall is a risk with his low JS

Think Halls JS should be OK. Think getting the cash in this week to get ashcroft and Lindsay next week (as I can't get both this week) is most manageable.

Reason I say Halls JS is low is Butler, Henry, King, Owens, and Sharman are all named as between 1 and 3 weeks to come back
Thats 5 forwards, yes theyre not all like for like but a forward has still gotta come out for each of them

Hall could very easily only have 2 more weeks, he should still make decent cash in that time but he could easily be dropped when hes still sub 400k. Just something to consider

Is it crazy to potentially do a Kako to Levi trade? I’ve initially done a Leake out to O’Sullivan in, but getting in the two higher scoring midfield rooks in Lindsay and Levi for that more important cash gen….

Would also leave me with 6 out of the 10 low BE rooks

My only thing with Knevitt is if he is able to smash out 6+ tackles each week plus 15 touches or so, thats a 65-odd point floor. Hes not a teenager either so wont need managed minutes.

Boyd is thr one i think could be the best value of the lot, idk wtf i was doing starting Archer Reid instead lol, just completely ignored my r3 spot after teams came out on Thursday.

I actually just had another look at my team and the only way I can get in knevitt is to trade out day/callaghan/FOS as my 3 worst/bye players lmao

Boyd jumped up a spot
My only concern with Knevitt is, Geelong only gave him 68% TOG. If he's going to be another Bruhn with low TOG, there's bound to be low scores as well.

I'm keen on Knevitt. Tog is a worry though, I don't know why it was only 68% when he can do more than that no problem. Maybe its just to keep rotating mids and keep them fresh, something Geelong have done in the past. His draft profile reads much better than Bruhn's when it comes to accumulating and endurance. So its a gamble on whether he gets more tog next week. Either way he makes a bit of coin and a good on field option. I'm taking him while everyone else grabs Lindsay who is much younger, has a worse role and has poor durability off limited preseason. I would still take Lindsay in a heartbeat though if I wasn't grabbing Knevitt, and have the option of getting him next week all going well.

Also going to ditch perryman, bye + role up in the air and JDG coming back. Going to have to deal with Day next week so need to get on the front foot. Friejah looks good and got inside mid time which is where he played best and scored well, so will grab the 100k from this trade. Wouldnt be surprised if he drops a 70 or something though but at least his b/e is low while Perrys is up to 92. 88% tog is a good sign for Freijah.

Perryman>Freijah
Hollands>Knevitt

Looking at getting Day to Rankine next week and also dealing with Hobbs, who is probably going to be dropped or sub, but happy enough in b18 to carry for one week.

It's hard for them to admit they were wrong, after fading SDK in their R1 sides .....for my side he was D6, logically was going to be better than any DEF Rookie

35 degree day ....so TOG with some of these younger mids may have been weather impacted

Nah, didn't have the money to pay up in the end. Hopefully have him in at some stage though 😅

Think I'm pretty set on Hollands > Lindsay & want De Koning. Just not sure whether I should trade Haynes or Perryman. Haynes has the role and had a great pre season, just had a stinker last week. If he gets the vest the decision is easier - interested to hear what people think?

Haynes 100% move on out of those two
