Forgot about Membrey, tore us a new one every time at the saints [emoji37]

Elliot and Membrey play for the same team now so hopefully it will cancel each other out [emoji51]

Besides Cox isn’t playing so there 2-3 goals less we won’t have to worry about

Boyd out is a bit of a head scratcher..and I love him but likewise for Doc keeping his spot.

I got nothing other than hope that we can somehow lift for the game, play close to 4 quarters, lower our eyes and get the win..

Elliot, Hill, De Goey, Nick Daicos, McCreery, Lipinski, Houston, J Daicos…

Besides their key forwards, Collingwood just seem to have too many goal kicking mids/fwds and attacking defenders for us to contain for 4 quarters.

If we lose which I’m expecting, I hope we at play a decent brand of footy, pressure every contest and make them earn every kick.

Obviously Voss doesn’t rate Boyd.

Why else would Boyd get dropped, he’s a better player than Hollands and in much better form than Docherty..

Is Williams soft as butter or have miraculous mid-week healing properties?

Congratulations Will White on his first game and hopefully his first bag against the arch enemy.

Because Boyd is severely underdone. Every time Boyd has been fully fit he's played while Voss has been at the helm.

So why does he get selected last week after one game in the reserves and then dropped this week? It makes no sense
He's still not ready to play a full game, we've been struggling late in games and they've decided a Moir might be the better option as sub? He's creative and a good user, so might be able to hit a target inside 50 when everyone else is fatigued.

Is it a perfect team? No. Cottrell has been our best deliverer into the forward line for some time now (a poor reflection on others).

But it is certainly a more interesting team. I’m particularly pleased Will White is being given an opportunity. He has more tools as a modern footballer than others who have been selected ahead of him previously.

Sad thing is at the start of the season, I had this game as 50/50. Now all I want to see is some improvement from previous weeks, and for it not to be a huge loss. Still looking forward to going tonight, you just never know what can happen in these games. Go Blues!

Collingwood have all players available and have had the benefit of a bye coming into the game.
Carlton are missing 2 important players in McKay and E Hollands - which might account for the fact that conversion of opportunity and inability to score in the second half of every game this year has been the major negative and reason why the side has lost three games so far.

The side isn't far from playing well enough to win and a continuation of being the best in teh competition at stopping rebound scoring ( currently #1 in the competition) and winning contested ball ( currently #1 in the competition) are strong foundations to build on.

Voss has got the team playing finals style football. Defense isnt the problem - scoring is .

Fix the entries into forward 50 and the game is there to win this is the strategic fix that the Club needs to put in place.

13 touches, 9 tackles and setting the intensity against the hawks is not a stinker

The AFL mobile app is actually a really good tool for some review - head to the player's profile, select "Highlights", select a game, and then tab across to "Extended" to get clips of every single stat they registered. Gives you an avenue to review their impact.

Handball receive and dished off a handball at half back - fine, play continued up onto the wing.
Handball receive at HBF, dumped a kick to a contest and Hawthorn marked.
Loose ball gather, looped a forward handball to JSOS and sold him into trouble.
Loose ball gather, dumped a kick to a HF contest, Hawthorn got the ball.
Handball receive, banana kick into the corridor fell short of Motlop, Hawthorn gathered the ball.
Ground ball get in the centre after a TDK diving spoil, executed a 25m kick to an open Motlop, eventually resulted in a score.
Handball receive, dumped a kick to a contest, Carlton gather the ball.
Handball receive, dumped a kick to HF to Hawthorn's advantage, Hawthorn won the ball.
Handball receive in the open, dumped a kick to a 1v2 (Hawthorn's advantage) inside 50, Hawthorn won the ball.
Loose ball gather, forward handball to Fogarty in space.
Ground ball get in the F50, chipped a blind kick to the pocket to nobodies advantage. Repeat stoppage result.
Handball receive, dumped a kick to HF to Hawthorn's advantage. Repeat stoppage result.
Handball receive, kicked a ball 5m (yes...5m) for Motlop to run onto (running away from our goal...). Stoppage result.

Setting the intensity is a load of crock. He had 4 disposals that were genuinely directed to a teammate. 3 of them were handballs, one of those was a hospital handball. His one genuinely effective kick was a 25m pass to Motlop who had nobody within 15m of him.

Not saying he was our worst in that game, but I can tell you now he wasn't far off it.

That is an interesting feature. 👍
