That was a strong hold in the end.

Started well, got on top and made it hard for them, bled a little late.
Port came back as you do and it was still hard so we equalised, then half time.
3rd quarter they threw the sink, and it was an almost would they, won't they and they got close.
Then the last and they pressed, and we held then kicked away late as they dropped heads.

Well won match.

Commentators could GAGF as obvious bias.
Umps could GAGF as spectacle was shit and you're the problem for it.
But well played game by both sides.
Well done boys. We beat Port, the maggots and at the same time shut up the biased as shit commentators

If we don't have Cooper Sharman we simply do not win that game. Not sure whichever way Hinkley will go but Ross should give Coops 5 coaches votes today.

Stocker plays like a wrecking ball.

Stocker was great today, he only made one tackle but it was a big game changing one and he was physical when we needed it.

Jones was similar, he does some dumb shit at times but he throws his weight around and crashes in hard, you need those types.

All those stuck up Ugle hagen type early draft picks can go and get ****ed.
Besides they sound like Scandinavian Ice Cream.

All aboard the Shiraz express.....it's now leaving the station.

What a great gutsy win......especially after Port got within 5 points.

Just checked the blood pressure......back to normal.....that last 10 minutes was absolutely intense.
The last 10 minutes, I vacated the couch and paced around it whilst watching the rest of the game.

Somehow it helps. 😂

I think it would be a great idea to beat the love child next week.

Give me a reason why we shouldn't.
The Giants look scary.

It'll be another interesting month. Bulldogs and Freo (at home) are both very winnable, especially given our recent form. Brisbane at home will be interesting too. King and Steele should both be back by the Brissy game, likely Butler and Henry too. Pou and Howard only a month away as well.

Things are looking up.

I'm on board with this 100%.

Sharman looked disinterested first half against Richmond - wasn't even applying pressure.

Lifted considerably in the second half of that game and took his momentum on to this week. As TheJackal said in the gameday thread, he at least halved almost every contest. Took a huge mark on the wing when Port were coming. Hit Collard with the pass for the match sealer.

We need King back because Sharman is going to make a mess of the 2nd or 3rd tall defender.

You guys I never get emotional, but 3-1, beating Port over in Shitsville, and Carlton 0-4. You dream of these things, but you never dare to get your hopes up. Some real grit in these kids, 1st quarter they tried to physically go after our young mids, particularly Windy, Garcia etc. and they didn't back down.

I'm starting to believe in the core of this list now.

Huge win for the club and the playing group

We were challenged twice and both times we pushed back .... on enemy soil

Hammer will learn a lot from today especially around protecting the space in front where forwards can lead into ..... his positioning was dead set average a few times allowing Georgiadis to lead ... he has to be aware of that open space and work harder to stop those leads ..... that said he was very good in other areas

We have a side with lots of inexperience so to see those youngsters step up and fight tooth & nail was extremely satisfying

Still have King / Phillipou / Steele / Henry / Clark / Howard / Butler / Dow on the sidelines to come back

Clean injury sheet from the game as well :thumbsu:

Onwards & upwards ... Go Saints!!!

Byrnes had some rough moments but he also stood up big time in that last quarter, was pushing really hard to each contest.

I don't know if he's going to make it but he's a heart and soul player.
Yes I was harsh early on Byrnes but he did improve as the match went on ... he is a honest trier but is undersized and struggles on taller mobile opponents .... with everyone back he ain't best 22

Until then we get behind him
