MM is a sad old man who should pack up and leave the spotlight. I have absolutely no interest in his opinions as they are all coloured by his biases, arrogance and total contempt for anyone else involved in football at any level that he has not endorsed.
Could you imagine MM retiring? His poor wife.

He'd be stuck at home all day being a bitter flog

Have a few of you guys been lurking too long on the Richmond board? ;)

Let's not get sucked into Tiger fans' endless whiny pissy "everyone who says a word against us is evil and stupid and a member of a corrupt mafia out to get us!!" bullshit.
Their comments about our game on Thursday are hilarious 😂

Tonight is Pendlebury's 408th game. 63% of those have been played at the MCG.

To put that into perspective, of the 359 games Tom Hawkins played for us, only 32% of those were played at GMHBA Stadium.
So in essence, Pendlebury has played twice as many home games (as percentage of total games).

🤢

I'd take Worpel if he was on offer.

We've got a bit of a gap in that experience range, and while he's no superstar, he's a very solid contributor that I think could get better under Geelong's tutelage.

Not Pendlebury's fault that Hawkins had an anger management problem when playing away, he missed so many home games from suspension

Would definitely be one for the unpopular opinion thread but if you are looking at it realistically then based on the last two seasons he is a better footballer than Oliver now, plus there is no ridiculous contract or off field issues in the mix either.

I suspect he will end up staying at Hawthorn though.

Just read some. How quickliy they forget their golden years of throwing the ball left right and centre. Flogs
Yep.

Then they threw their future away with ridiculous Taranto/Hopper deals.

Will always be grateful to them for Max Holmes though 😇

Hmm still not sure what to make of GCS as they have had and will continue to have a very cushy start to the year
Played so far

R1 WCE
R2 bye
R3 Melb
R4 Crows (which they should have lost)
R5 North
R6 Richmond
R7 Sydney (Finally a side that was good from last year)

So basically he gets to play almost 2/3 at home when most other players are at 1/2 at best and plenty are below that.

But maybe not good this year

Still got to admire what he's achieved though. You can only play where the AFL schedules you to play. And he's been one of the best and fairest players of the comp for the past 17 years or so.

Don't get me wrong i don't blame Pendles and he is one of my favourite players to watch in the last 20 years.

It just goes to show how corrupt the AFL fixturing is.

How many coaches get moved on this year?

Goodwin seems certain to go. Nicks will go if Crows miss finals. Probably Voss too if Blues miss finals. Maybe the succession plan for Hinkley gets pushed forward if Port continue to lose?

The only other ones that seem possible would be maybe Beveridge and Longmuir. I tend to think Longmuir will be safe though.

Just listened to Matthew Nicks press conference. I really like him. Clear, direct, honest. As good a coach as Chris Scott clearly is, I cringe a bit listening to his press conferences (he alternates between being smart and frank with kind of being weird and smart-arse and opaque (while pretending he's not doing any of those latter things). Anyway, I like Scott as a coach, but I enjoyed the tone of this press conference more https://www.afc.com.au/video/175352...dal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1744297285001
