How can you rip Schulz for his poor stats, when Messon's stats are even worse? He is worth no more than pick 25.

Yeah, I mean a 2 game ruckman should be cruising round picking up 15-20 touches in ridiculously limited time on ground?
Hardly comparable when the Meese has only played 2 games and is only in his third season of football. As a ruckman he has been behind Clarke and Biglands for a large period of time and would have been first in line if he didnt break down at the start of the year which allowed Griffin and Maric ahead of him.
As for Schultz, I'd like to think that if your a reasonable footballer, you may be putting in a 10+ possession game more than 6 times in 49 games. I know stats aren't everything but that is pretty damning.
Anyway, it was just my personal opinion.

I'd rather Meesen + 3rd Rounder for Hughes but that's not bad.
Richmond have pick 1 in the PSD, now there's something you don't see everyday.

I think Adelaide should get on Schulz. Make it a priority. Not for a Meesen straight-swap though. Schulz's got big upsides IMO and will require little outlay. You can see the ability there when you watch him play... stats aside. Often you'll find that certain players will struggle when surrounded by sub-standard players (Richmond) then will flourish when surrounded by better players. Rodan is a classic example.
The extra tall will allow a Bock for example to settle in the backline.

I think Jay will be a far better player in a team that doesn't contain Richo. Whether that's with us in a couple of years or with Adelaide i'm not sure. I also agree that he'd benefit from the delivery he could get from Adelaide's midfield. I'm sure he'd salivate at the prospect of Goodwin, Edwards, Knights, Thompson and co delivering him the ball as the focal point of a forward line.
That said, i think that Meesen + 3rd round for Meyer + Schulz is way over the top. Two first rounders that haven't done much for another first rounder that hasn't done anything + an ordinary pick in a weak draft is a definite no-go.

We’re in a very precarious position regarding our list management but we don’t need to go and do stupid things like draft (or even trade) for Jay Schultz, Cameron Faulkner or even Jordan McMahon.
If we venture into the trading process this year and it looks highly likely that we will, we should aim for draft picks as apposed to recycled players from other clubs. Let’s get as many picks as we can inside the top 35 and rebuild the list from there.

He is a real talent who has suffered in sharing a forward line with richo.
He is slowly improving every year, and at just 22 has many years ahead of him to fulfill his potential.
Not tradeable.
Cleve Hughes on the other hand maybe tradeable.
And also, we are not intersted in Meesan. Hughes has already done alot more than Meesan. Only draft picks will be considered

You can take him. I dont like him and i dont think he has much of a future for us. So let the crows have him
You would be mad to not take a straight swap and we'd be mad to offer it. Schulz has only just tuned 22 FFS!! Has been in great form in the VFL and a victim of the Richocentric game play at senior level. FWIW Steven Salopek has always said that Schulz will become one of the elite players from that draft.

And bias it should be, FFS its not like anyone on Big Footy actually makes the decision.
Talking trades on big footy is just stupid as no one will ever post a scenario where their own clubs losses out.
What is John Meesen worth? No one really knows because no one is close enough to the inner sanctum of a football department to have that privileged information. So yes everyone on this board is bias but so is yours and so would every other 14 clubs in the AFL.
