But we already have the triple Js, Sturt and Freddy, Bolton, Murphy, Switta and the Wombat. Thats 9 forwards, not including Banners and Son Son.

Personally I would prefer to try and take the Unicorn out of the forward line and recruit a mid height mobile tall (Gunston/Fritsch type) because Sturty is no guarantee to ever get that body of his in good shape.

Giving away 3 firsts for Pickett, Im really not sure about. Sometimes Freo just need to learn to walk away.

Two firsts in effect, they got pick 14 in return (17 after shenanigans - father sons etc) and picked up Murphy Reid.

Gave away 10,11,18 for Shai Bolton and Murphy Reid. You might be the only one unhappy with that.

Yeah and you got two experienced and damaging players that you won't get from the draft. No brainer. Imagine if they weren't in our team!

First rounders are not all equal. These are picks that would be projected to be mid/late teens and even into the 20's. Maybe 30's for the 2027 draft that Tasmania will raid.

I don't have a problem giving up these picks for Kozzie, however my issue is how do we then get the points for Whan and Robinson.

Shai was essentially 2 first rounders in the teens. That's definitely not overs.

As a noted big trade detractor, especially Jackson, going through and looking at the trades and the players picked it's not as bad as you think.

Bolton was effectively done for a late first plus an early second when you consider the swaps and Reid.

Jackson more costly but still a bit of a wash when you consider where the picks fell. Just bugs me we are year 3 of him and still not sure what his best position is, but that is mainly an injury issue.

It is a concern that we will lose another two first rounders but if our NGAs go top 20 then essentially we get Kozzie AND a first round pick. Doubtful on Luke but I hope Whan keeps building.
