Kelly drifting around half arsed like he did today is bad for team morale. I watched him a bit more than usual today and he's just going through the motions taking a pay cheque. That kid with 6 possessions in less than a quarter vs his 12 for the game and two critical goal attempt failures in the third. Delist asap.

Fair point and some could even point to his team-high 9 score involvements today but the fact we are trying him as a forward when our midfield is getting smashed weekly should have been a kick up the arse for him today and yet his body language as always is nonchalant. He might not have attended a single centre bounce but even around the pack in the forward line it was the same kind of thing. Happy to let others do the hard stuff.

I'm over him.

Pretty sure theres a top up at the beagles that plays a chunk of time in the middle and goes ok. He’ll make way for tk but dare I say they’ll also use tk as hff rotation there

If Kelly spent all of his minutes as our main on-baller and dished up those stats, then that's definitely droppable territory.

But given he attended zero CBs and played the HFF role we've all (or at least I) been calling for and finished with team high 9 score involvements, is that somewhat of a pass?

Not trying to give Kelly an out here as he's frustrated me all year with his efforts—but surely taking him out of stoppages and playing him in his Geelong-esque role is a good thing?

I mean, the one time Kelly isn't featured in our CBs we actually didn't look deplorable, and even came out on top 16-9.

This role must be his last chance to show he's worth persisting with given hes OOC this year.

How the **** is JWilliams not one of the first picked? Him and Gross need to play every game they possibly can. They just have something intangible they need more games and stability.

Archer needs a rest. Probably time for him to look at his position. Shanahan is the real deal and our tall forward stocks look good.

The others are just not beating Allen or Gov for spots. Allen looked better in the backline last week.

That dickhead is killing the development of both players buy kissing archer on the dick and giving jilliams the rough end of the stick. Archer moves so smoothly and a tad more athletic but i still reckon William is not only a better set shot but be actually has proper forward craft. With the lack of quality key backs, archer needs to go back

A.Reids picking over JW reeks off shoring him up long term (Vic kid = treated nice) because of his obvious potential.

JW is ahead on every pretty much every stat, going at 9 disposals, 2.5 tackles and 1.3 goals a game, the other at 6 d’s 1.3 tackles and .4 goals a game.

Picking the averages that gives us the win today.

His biggest crime was missing his shots. He actually set up quite a bit (thought at QT he had started the best alongside Harley and Ryan) and helped us pile the pressure on when he took two very good advantages to set up shots late.

Surprised his numbers were so low in the end but also surprised at the 0 CBAs.

I get people’s frustration but I thought (especially now that we have the data to show where he was playing) he actually had some nice moments today. Needed to stick those shots though to get a pass mark.

The best version of Kelly has long since been HFF with mid spells, we just haven’t had the cast to do it. Now it seems like Mini has gone **** it then mate, you’re not producing so go play forward. All in all it actually seems like a big step forward today for the long term good of the team. BUT ****ING NAIL YOUR SHOTS TIMOTHY.

The problem is Kelly doesn't chase and when he does he is too slow and even dermie highlighted it today which led to a goal.

He can't just be a one way hff, if he can't put pressure on he's no good anywhere.

Hmmm not sure on some of the calls here - Kelly played as a permanent forward and led the team in score involvements. Thought he was okay today and don't mind that role for him. Would love to bring Hall in but want to keep Ryan & Brockman in the midfield mix and it might be one mid too many (especially as would love to see Gross start). I expected to be calling for Flynn or Williams to be dropped as couldn't believe they went with two very ordinary rucks but think I got that wrong - they both played okay and we actually won the clearances!

Don't think there is much more justification for change - only really Hall, B.Allan and Bazzo seriously pushing for a spot otherwise.
