It wasn’t a great day for talks but let’s be honest when you are calling out posters, he did nothing today. He had 4 possessions and 5 hit outs. He got out bodied in every contest.

The bit you got right is that he’ll play again next week.
We need to find a way to get West into the team.

There were a few on here that doubted big bad Billy frampton before reef went down
Not many doubting now
Holding his own and more
Yes,I can’t understand why anyone would doubt him,but they have. He’s shown in the last couple of years that he’s more than capable of holding down a key defenders spot, and he’s got even better this year,if anything. We’d be in big trouble down back if we didn’t have him on our list.

He just needed to provide a few good contests today but he ended up having no impact whatsoever

Very satisfying win against a solid opponent. Didn't play at our best, but dug deep and got the job done.

I was worried about the lack of height down back (outside of Frampton), but our defence held up beautifully with Maynard, Howe and IQ all stepping up to the plate in Moore's absence. Really solid effort from all our defenders to nullify Adelaide's talls aided by the wet weather conditions.

Loved McCreery's performance. A really good player while the heat is on and his tackling pressure is such a pleasure to watch. Always gives 100% no matter the circumstances.

Fly is a class act. Saw him in the presser paying tribute to the Selwood family, particularly Scott who works as an assistant coach with us. Just a great human being who's culturally made our club better with him at the helm.

It was a great win for the club today, but in the light of day, it really wasn't about the footy.
The tragic death of Adam Selwood, has obviously had a profound effect on the club through our connection to the Selwood family via Scott.
If you have kids, no matter how old they are, give them a hug, and a kiss on cheek and tell them you love them.
I have definitely told my son how much l love him....
I tell my 11 year old son that every day, because one day, I won't be there for him.
I want him to carry my love for him in his heart long after I'm gone.

11 intercept possessions, 29 touches elite ball handling and use and over 520 metres gained would suggest Josh also part of that defence , was the most influential player on the ground.

Good point, forgot about Josh.

Still used to the idea of him being a mid.

That is a beautiful post man.

I was at the game, and celebrated the Collingwood theme song at least three times (and even before the music actually began).
The Magpie Army appreciated this hard fought, dogged victory.

I am an extremely nervous supporter, and when I fear that we might lose, I feel the need to take a break (walk around, distance myself from any knowledge of the score etc) for a few minutes.

I never had this sad impulse tonight...until maybe the last 5 minutes, when it started to creep in, but never became significant. Did not have to walk away for a break at any moment.

I felt like we just had this under control for the entire game.

Our defence was brilliant. Whenever the ball hit the ground, there was a Collingwood defender torpedoing himself to the ball, fearless and desperate.

Jeremy Howe, what a game. BOG.

I don't understand the criticism of IQ in the match thread. Thought he held his own, often brilliantly

The entire defence is an integrated whole. No one should ask when the opposition kicks a goal, which defender was responsible. Our defence is now integrated. We play a web of defensive synergy where each defender covers for the other. It is a sight to behold. The fact that Darcy was missing makes it all the more incredible.

Credit to Frampers. He is holding his own. Philthorpe: no impact. That is just superb.

Love the way we change our game style, according to the conditions, and also according to the opposition. No need to go hell for leather down the corridor if Adelaide is content to let the game continue on in the same mode where we are winning.

Brilliant game from our team. Brilliant coaching, brilliant execution. It is obvious that our coach and our team are completely on the same page and understand at all times what they need to do and how they need to adjust. Coaching and team masterpiece.

I'm like this when watching us on TV!! I'm OK at the game.

How good was it singing the song whilst Crows were having a shot on goal.. 😆 loved it. Particularly when they missed.

Good win. Fairly cagey affair until the end of the third. I really rate Adelaide and have loved watching them this year, so to do that was great.

Big Bill’s effort on Thilthorp was unreal. He is really underrated at ground level also, very clean.

I’m pretty shook about the Selwood news. When Troy passed I remember thinking, geez that must be so tough on the brothers, especially the twin. Then for this to happen… All my love and thoughts with the family. I don’t know where you go from there. Just so sad.

Really enjoyable seeing Long and Frampton. Two players who you probably wouldn't have had in the best 22 calculations before the season, but both have stood up and provided a point of difference that adds a lot to what we bring. Both becoming increasingly vital parts of our lineup as the season progresses.

That was a real blue collar effort and a pointer to how strong our systems are.

Loved the way Fly had a not so subtle swipe at Sam Mitchell and Hawkscum.
Said in the presser that in the MSD there are guys like Ned Long waiting there, who just need the opportunity to be believed in, and we take him on board. Now he is just such an important part of our team, due to the support and faith we have shown in him.
