Flying High - the werewolf game
(also known as Airplane!)

After the crew becomes sick with food poisoning, a neurotic ex-fighter pilot must safely land a commercial airplane full of passengers. Can the pilots survive to save that fate? Can the Air Traffic Controllers survive long enough to take out the pilots? With the fate of the passengers resting in the hands of Ted Striker and Elaine Dickinson will they be able to being it in.

The Pilots - get a kill each night
Captain Clarence Oveur
- Night Immune. Seers as passenger; Gets a seer each night.
Otto - Emergency Autopilot
Roger Murdock - picks one player each night who must then vote for the player they are told to or be killed, cannot target the same player on consecutive nights
Victor Basta - Lowest ranked pilot, doesn't do much at all.
Win condition: eliminate all ATC, the fish dish, and equal or outnumber the passengers and crew

Air Traffic Controllers - get a kill each night
Steve McCroskey
- Night Immune. Seers as passenger; Gets a seer each night.
Captain Rex Kramer - Can protect a player from kill actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
Gunderson - secretly changes one players vote the next day, cannot target the same player on consecutive nights
Johnny Henshaw-Jacobs - 'helping' the ATC
Win condition: eliminate all Pilots, the fish dish, and equal or outnumber the passengers and crew

Neutral roles
Executive Producer
- knows the players in the Pilots/ATC factions, but doesn’t know their exact role; Can protect a player from kill actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases);
Win condition: wins if the pilots or ATC win, doesn't need to be alive.

The fish dish - Night immune to kills; Seers as passenger; Can poison a player of their choice each Night Phase who will die from the poison at the end of the following Night Phase (unless they are Night Immune; having the steak when targeted; or protected the second night by the Doctor)
Win condition: Make it to the final 4/5

The flight attendants and passengers
Ted Striker
- Can either Kill, Protect, Roleblock or Seer a player each Night Phase (can't use the same action on consecutive nights), all actions used before repeating
Elaine Dickinson - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets the correct result (except for those stipulated otherwise)
Randy - Picks one target each night to kill, if she kills Mrs Hammen, she gets an extra kill on Night 5.
Dr Rumack - Doc of course
Mrs Hammen - Chooses a player each Night Phase and is told who targeted their chosen player with a Night Phase action (if anyone), but not what the action was
Jive talkers - 3 players that share a PM and have 3 night actions seer, protect and kill (can't be used simultaneously).
Passengers
Win condition: eliminate all Pilots, ATC, the fish dish, and Executive Producer

The steak - protects from all night and day actions, will be randomly handed out at the start and must be passed on by the end of the next day phase or will be randomised. The steak will explode randomly and vanish during the game, killing whoever holds it at the time. It can only be passed within a faction once per time received. If fish was consumed the night before, the player will die and the amulet be randomised.

Roles will be randomly assigned to all players and will be communicated before the start of Night 1 via PM (Private Message), except for passengers. The passengers and crew must identify and kill all of the Pilots, ATC and Neutral roles before these players can kill enough players to satisfy their own win condition.

Each day will consist of two phases, starting with Night 1

Night phase (9pm (Wednesday it will be 8.30pm) – 9am AEST)
Players with night actions will nominate the targets of these actions via PM during this phase. These actions must be bolded and clearly stated to be valid. Actions will not be accepted after deadline, whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.

Day phase (9am – 9pm (Wednesday it will be 8.30pm) AEST)
After the results of night actions have been announced, all players will publicly vote to lynch one player during this phase. Votes will not be accepted after deadline, whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread. The player with the most votes by the time of the deadline will be lynched and their role revealed in the game thread. In the event of a tied lynch, there will be a multi-lynch i.e. all the leading vote-getters will be lynched.

VOTING
Votes must be in the game thread and must bold the player being voted and tag the moderator. You do not have to provide a reason for your vote for it to be valid.

FAILURE TO VOTE IN ANY DAY PHASE WILL RESULT IN A MODKILL

OTHER REASONS FOR MODKILLS

  • Failing to nominate a night action on TWO separate Night phases (explicitly choosing to not use an action is fine)
  • Any communication about this particular game of Werewolf outside of the game thread, except for those that have an allocated PM group
  • Any deleting or editing posts from the game thread
  • Posting screenshots of BigFooty of any kind in the game thread
  • Directly quoting any PMs from me as moderator in the game thread

Welcome home!
Hope NYC was FAB

IN. (My 1st 1st )
It was awesome.

Underworld was amazing. 2.5 hour set at an amazing theater.

I got to watch Mets beat Yankees, with the guy who crossed from Yankees to Mets having a great game (the boos!!!).

Plenty of bars and great food.

I haven't checked the credit card but it won't be pretty.

So, one evil group has their own protector, and the other does not, but both groups also have a neutral protector?

Happy to change roles if required. With pilots having a potential 2nd NI I thought it was relatively even.

Hard to say
It looks like it sways toward evil at 1st glance, with the neutral protector plus one group having it's own Doc... unusual...
I know Village have a JOAT and a VIG, but Seers are also down by 1 power.
It looks skewed but who knows!😊

We play we find out!
