Why do people keep saying Lachie Jones is a reason not to need NWM? The fact that Lachie Jones is in our side giving up multiple goals per game with his errors while offering next to nothing the other way is if anything all the more reason we would benefit from NWM.

He's got nothing on NVM, but Lachie has an AA season or two in him when he gets a clean run at it with injuries. Had a purple patch earlier this year where he showed his potential.

There was no purple patch, it was 1 maybe 2 good games (none that I rated as a top 5 Port player on the day) and he got injured anyway.

On my votes leaderboard he's got less votes than Lorenz who Hinkley refuses to play. And less votes than Burton and Finlayson who I both think are finished.

I dunno about AA's but I reckon Lachie is a persist with player, I doubt Carr wants him going anywhere.

Lachie Jones is definitely no NWM, completely different players. NWM is more comparable to Rozee this year. But jones seems to be underrated by the port faithful.

You are correct... he has different strengths and weaknesses, and certainly areas to work on, but he has more than enough to work with to persist with with his acceleraton, strength and aggression at the contents.... but he does have areas to work on, largely around cleanness of hands and composure. Its not that long ago we saw some of his potential when he stood Jeremy Cameron and well and truely had the better of him until he pinged a hammy.

Jones's issue is continuity, evertime he establishes some form and fitness, he pings his hammy and has to start all over again. He is no NWM but if he can stay on the park , he can be a solid piece in that back six.

Fair call great guitarist, I'm just not a fan of the neck diving that comes with some Gibson SG's.

Far as I'm aware Gibson didn't do a mass production of there models either.

Epiphone even released an Tommi Iommi Monkey SG Special.

Imo the Guild Polara D is a much better balanced guitar for that type shape, due to their thicker body

Jones just needs a good solid run without injury. He has shown glimpses of elite talent, just can’t ever good a good run without injury to build confidence.

NWM hasn’t signed anywhere yet it would appear.

Saints board were hoping yesterday an announcement.

He’s not going to the Crows. There’s nobody anywhere that thinks that.

Starting to feel confident he’s going to end up here.

With Bergs staying I think it reduces our chances of NWM coming to port, so at this stage I fear the Crows are in front here.

He'll stay at the Saints for a two or three year deal.

Its probably the fact he cant take a chest mark that does it.
