Curnow has to be dropped. His attitude stinks. He can go and run around in the 2's.
TDK can piss off too. He has clearly checked out.
Voss should not be coaching
Did you watch the game on Friday night? Had the second most score involvements for the game, in a team that had 11 less scoring shots, and looked much more aggressive leading up the ground. We would have lost by 100+ if he hadn’t played

Why let him get to 100 games?
Father son rule won’t be the same in 25 odd years.
Do you think he deserves his name on the locker for the career his had at the club?
I'm just selfishly looking at the clubs future interests, not TDK's.

Have the coaching staff and MC conceded finals are no longer an option this season?

If they don’t start picking the future side, rather than trying to prove the current one can turn it around if we just keep doing the same thing and the result will change, then they will become too hard to watch.

I’ll double down on what I said last week when I was shouted down by others who wanted to ‘protect’ our young players in the 2’s.

Reward form in the 2’s. Drop those out of form or not giving 100%.

SELECTION INTEGRITY!!!

We don’t drop Moir. We give him 4 games at least. He will thrive and grow.

We have carried Doc, Acres and Fogarty for how long? Their shit disposal and ineffectiveness hurt us, week in, week out.

Cripps, Charlie, Saad, McGovern and Cerra have also been poor, but we can’t drop everyone.

OUT
Doc
Acres
Fog
Evans
Williams* (injured)

IN
Charleson
Binns
Ben Campo
Lemmey
Saad

*and CFC - please find a way to hide Flyn Riley. We must sign him next year

Doc retire. Farewell versus his old team at home.
From a neutral POV I don’t really understand the pile on for Doch?

I watch him fairly closely from a fantasy perspective and he seems to be the only one on the ground busting a gut to provide an option and run from behind.

A few of his disposals weren’t up to scratch but he’s consistently one of the only ones trying

Voss won't read this, let alone listen to me...

But at this point, we absolutely MUST drop the 'big names' ...

Cerra's kicking tonight was absolutely atrocious... sorry, but that sort of i50 delivery is an absolute killer. I don't give a shit about his stats looking 'decent' ... he was shithouse.

Weitering has cracked the sads. Playing well within himself and a liability.

TDK - sorry, but if this guy is leaving (and let's be real its so obvious he is), he is not worth persisting with after dishing up another crap performance.

Doc - he is done... we knew this months ago but ffs he is ****en cooked mate

Acres - as above.

Gov - could quite possibly be the dumbest footballer in the comp. Conditional as it gets.

Fogarty - the ghost... he's so invisible he avoids getting dropped.

Cripps - the captain, the leader ... he's cracked the sads and checked out. Can't have that guy "leading" the team out. Call it managed if you want, but just get him the **** out and let him really think about how he wants to see this season out.

Williams - was our best player, will be a forced change.

Just get the kids in, they will get thumped, but at least we can look for +ve signs rather than just getting pissed at the blokes who should be performing well above what they are...

But Michael, if you are worried about getting the arse, and hoping that these senior players will step up for you, you're kidding yourself... drop them for a couple weeks, maybe they can find their "purpose" when they're playing on some shitty ground in the 2's. "We'll get to work" is pure lip service nonsense... make them actually get to work!

1000000000%

Believe...it really is that simple!!!!!!

On Friday night he handballed to a 1 on 3 at CHB, and missed the handball.
That’s typical of his game this year.

Nic Newman on 3AW did yesterday. Said it would probably mean he will not try and come back before the seasons end and just sit out until next year.

Bought tickets to watch Superman opening night. Incredibly excited.

Added bonus that I won’t be able to watch the game.

I hear ya.
Will be watching the Tour De France for the next few weeks. Cricket for the UK as well

Fair. But I’d think that says more about his teammates and the gameplan.

Like I said, from watching him it looks like he’s the only one that gives a **** and is trying to make things happen.

Very regularly supporting with overlap run and lead up marks (hence why he’s fantasy relevant). One of the very few that don’t stop running.

I think the bigger issues lie in the number of players that aren’t having any impact at all to even be in a position to make a mistake

DeKoning Cerra Hewett

Lord Durdin Pittonet

IN
Lemmy - He's actually playing well and we are desperate for a second key forward
Wilson - He's AFL quality, needs games, keeps playing well.
Charleson - He looks like he has been an AFL player for years. Deserves to debut.
White - I like him more than a lot of our forwards...

OUT
Fogarty - Just a VFL level player who gets picked ahead of all the well performing VFL players.
Fantasia - Had a poor one.
Pittonet - Played well, two rucks is a disaster.
Lord - I like him but he alongside the other mids is too slow.

Get Evans up on a wing, he can actually play, just not forward pocket.
Hollands to play a bit of wing.
Docherty onball and wing
Moir, Motlop, Williams short stints onball
If Williams misses Durdin comes in.

Voss seems to want the team to run but like the last 3 seasons, he won't pick the ones who can run. This is the bones of why we are where we are.

As I mentioned in the match thread, he did that when Hewett was the recipient with the intention of a 1-2 receive to create a misdirect.

He did the same thing later in the game, so it was clearly in the match planning. Presumably they weren't confident in their ability to shepherd out the oncoming pressure, or wanted to increase Collingwood's effort in doing so.

Unfortunately Hewett wasn't much of a foil, though you're right that the first attempt wasn't good enough, nor was it the only error by hand from Doc on the night, but the guy had over 25 touches and clearly did far more right than wrong.

You come across a bit more rational than this usually, but a few seasoned board posters are now just slamming players after years of frustration. Be frustrated with Charlie's refusal to go back on the mark, same with McGovern. Be frustrated with how blinkered some of our forwards can be moving the ball into the 50, and not taking the shot unless their name is Charlie.

But laying into Doc? The time to do that was after last year's final, but that's on the Match Committee and the high performance staff mores o than him. He had a rough start to the season and he responded. This is just echo chambery rabble stuff now.

Yep, was one of only a few who tried to run, overlap & create.
Sure, disposal was inadequate at times, but from my perspective this is magnified by fatigue.
That fatigue is amplified by a veteran who is trying to carry too much of that load for teammates whom either can’t or won’t do the same.
From the opposite and of the spectrum it’s the same for Ollie, a kid trying to cover the run, spread and create for a team with too many that just won’t or can’t.
It’s then a double down on this lack of run and overlap as the “support cast” don’t compensate with the smarts or disposal skills that can compliment a forced contested game plan as there’s no other way for the team to play due to team composition.
Unfortunately a double negative that doesn’t make a positive and reflective in our results.

I actually don’t know who I would drop, so many you could but personally I’d like to see most still playing so you can either hope they find form (Acres, Pitto etc) to help with future decisions or because they are playing for their career (Fantasia, Fog, Doc etc) so it would be nice to have abit more of a look.
If Williams is out then I’d bring in Saad if he is ready.
Give Young a full game.

If we are playing the kids ,give them a few games in a row. Give Cowan more responsibility.
Don’t rush Campo’s in then drop them when Walsh and Williams are back in a week or two. Let them have a 3 week block of actually playing a role which we need filled long term.
in a week or two bring White in for a block of games. ATM there are too many playing his role. Over the next few weeks a line will be drawn through some of them and then bring him in for the rest of the season.

If I was going to pick a couple of things out of last weeks game that gave me a little bit of hope it was Moir (not a lot of possessions but good things tended to happen when he got involved) & Cowan (seemed to be given more of a licence to rebound and it looked good) - so given the fact that TDK is clearly not a forward why not just play him as the solo ruck and bring Lemmey in for a crack.

So ridiculous we could have had an extra pick during the MSD. What a clown show.

Worked so well rushing Doc back in a final didn't it, what's that saying fool me once.....
