Cordy is 0% chance to play AFL first game back from such a long lay off.

He should be zero chance even if he wasn't injured.
Can confirm he made it to training 👍🏻

Not dropping him but just a watch this week is Wilkie has had 6 or 7 kicked on him last 2 games, Treacy & Gunston & if either of those had of just kicked 1 goal we probably win both games.

Haven’t seen much of Sandy but is Heath really a legitimate forward option?
He competes well, and has some good leading patterns. He will also bring the ball to ground and not be pushed under the ball - as Keeler was last week. Keeler had a really nice patch of 3 or so weeks, but time for a rest I reckon.

Treacy had 4 marks and 8 disposals: he just made every post as winner in a tight game. Gunston was probably not an easy match up for us, but he drifted as the game went on.

It's more a recognition that Caminiti is learning, so we can't throw him to the wolves and give him the #1 assignment the way we could with Howard.

Could be the first time we see Nas get tagged - Braeden Campbell completely shut out Jordan Clark last week so you'd assume the Swans try the same this week given how much we rely on Nas to get the ball moving. Will be interesting to see what we do to counteract that.

Wilkie is very rarely beaten in any contested situation, but if our defensive zone isn't protecting the leading space like some of Gunston's marks then there's not much he can do about the laser delivery.
Also doesn't help when Marshall kicks it into Gunston for a goal, some nuffies just look at stats and go "he had x goals kicked on him, he bad!!" - see it all the time with Barrat in the VFL threads lol.

Also, I feel because there hasn't been anything on the socials celebrating Max Heath's first game, that we won't be seeing him this week. The club usually has these announcements prior to Team release right? Thought this would've been the week.

With a Sunday game, if he's debuting they'll announce it tomorrow.

1 goal conceded by Marshall, Wilkie has had his colors lowered the last 2 weeks just an observation nuffie.

Yep, extended around 6pm today, then final Friday for Sunday games so announcement vids and such for lead in if it's a debut to drum up gameday support.

Our turnovers are hurting us a lot. No time to setup defence if you turn it over backwards of the centre

Mitchell said they ran multiple tags on nas last week and he just beat them all... 43 touches... tag nas at your peril

Where did you pluck that from , what a load of rubbish
It's just my opinion and I thought I expressed it in a way that was respectful, as opposed to the childish way you expressed yours. But I respect your right to bigup your anonymous self on a footy forum. Maybe check the age on your licence and then practice your persuasive argument skills and return with a more articulate counter argument.

It's an observation but not right, Gunston has 39 goals from 13 games this year and looking AA.

He kicked two goals on leads and one of those was from a fast break out of the centre, another into a pocket… if he was playing on an a different opponent, he would have chopped both of these kicks off. Marshall kicking to Gunston inside their 50 has nothing to do with Wilkie so it would be a massive stratch to say Wilkie had his colours lowered given the amount of horrendous turnovers we are dishing up.

I would think that Nas would be more likely to get the James Jordon treatment. He has been the Swans no.1 shutting down player since he signed up there.

Also, Hawthorn tried four different players to stop Nas. I'm not saying he is untaggable but no one has managed to shut him out yet this season.

I was thinking the same, again its not looking good for Max?

Heath has his papers stamped, no benefit to giving him a game. Has been on our list since 2021 - far better to keep Keeler in building his skills before 2026.

Reckon a dual tag could be on this week - Campbell on Nas and Jordon on Macrae. Going to be hard to breakthrough those two...

I understand the reluctance about his tank but on performance, I dont know how it can be justified keeping Keeler in while Heath continues to be one of Sandy's best every week.
Yeah I’d be very surprised if Keeler keeps his spot. Was terrific in his first couple of games back (one in defence and one forward), but has fizzled right out now and would likely benefit from dropping back again.

Helped him a lot last time and he was a completely different player when he returned so hopefully it will have a similar effect again.

And I hope to see Max given a crack in his place.
