Is Neal Bullen tagging dale?
Don't think anyone is.

Keays was on him for a while, but Dale also had to pick up a tall at times.

We’re doing better than I thought we would at center clearances. Bit worried the bullies will find a way to make the Butts absence hurt as the game goes on.

But so far so good. Loving Soligo’s game. There are probably no more than 5 players in the league who could pull off that kick to Neal Bullen. Talk about threading a needle.

Yeah yeah yeah, there's always a reason. It's actually the kids fault.

Like the board's shallowest end of the gene pool weren't shitting on Curtin at the start of the season.
Cook did play 15 games last year. Not like he hasn't been given a chance.

Has had a couple of decent performances here and there but if you can't cement a spot in half a season four years into your career surely it's at least partially on the player.

**** me Cook has been good.
Always been a great user of the ball.

Just needs to find more of the ball.

Like that we are playing off a wing too.

I've been working with Footy on in background.
NOT a good idea o_O:sadv1:, since I'm not getting 100%-focussed work done :drunk: and missing a lot of good stuff, it seems. I'm gonna hafta watch AFL replay in a coupla days, I suppose (well, if we win).

Anybody, please:
--- what happened to Butts? (I missed it)
--- every third time I look up, Cook is delivering the ball, really well , forward. Where's he playing? Link man?
--- who was on Naughton? Has it changed?

He's not being hidden in the back pocket. Don't really ever remember him playing through the middle. Looks good there.

Wonder if that's what has let Cumming get closer to goal.

Point 1, watching footy while working is okay, unless you are a neurosurgeon.
2 - Butts. Not sure, they are saying his chest.

3 - Cook seems to be playing that Tom Lynch of old role, definitely looks like a link up role.

Cook had played wing before today & probably where he has played his best football.

Think Cumming still playing wing, but just getting more forward today.

We appear to be rotating Cook with Curtin & Cumming, whereas last week we used ANB as the 3rd wingman.

Fog's a player that you sometimes need to work to bring into the game. Find him, spot him up a few times, warm him up. If you do you'll see the rewards.

When we go bomb heavy and starve him, we hurt ourselves.

It's a coaching issue.

Problem is you don't get those opportunities to work someone in the game when you're against the best teams (especially in big finals) as the pressure/congestion ramps up. So finding a way to get around this is primarily a Fog issue, and really its the next step in his evolution in becoming a top-tier key forward.

Or alternatively, we bring in another to do the 2nd KPF role and turn Fogarty into a third tall, which I'm not against at this point.

We don't like leads in big games. This is a time where we show if we're ready for the next step - leading and controlling a big game away from home, when our opponent will lift and our structure is compromised.

A big 60 minutes for Nicks and the leaders. Will it be a corner turned, or more "learnings"?

Was really looking forward to this game, and really haven't been let down. Great game of footy.

Thank **** they moved it from Ballarat.
