Don't love the idea of having Jack Martin in my team, but if I get Macrae, Warner, Rankine etc, I can't afford more than Meek.

Same. Between J.Martin and Flanders for me. Waiting for teams to see who replaces Touk.

Tonight's game will also influence my trades. If Whitfield puts up a big VC score, I'll feel more confident taking Grundy on and might put Jackson at R2 and bring in Dunks & Petracca.

If Zak Johnson (E) miraculously puts up 80+, I can loop him on and grab Grundy and a loop option on another line.

Lots to play out.

If I put N Martin in the Utility position and trade him out for someone not playing tonight, am I able to change my Trade In to anyone else after he has been locked out.

My logic is that I know I am getting rid off him, but I also have Kako and May playing tonight, if by some freak chance either of these two have a blinder, I can then change my Martin trade to someone cheap and use the money for upgrading Xerri to Grundy and have cash for something better next week.

Will this work? or will the Trade In be stuck in the utility spot?

I have all three of Martin, Xerri and Rozee, I assume that the first two are the priorities, who are my best bets to trade in for them?

I had Doc still in the midfield so I was able to make this move, plus I had 200k ITB.

Works.
Not sure how ppl encounter issues with it as it seems good to me.
Basically lock out Martin.
I've done it multiple weeks removing early guys and bringing in Sunday players who I may not even keep til Emergencies play.
Has always worked for me regardless of position with Utility. (I generally use mobile website, not app)
Only issue is if you do it fwd etc, you need to trade a fwd, or trade a DPP, then edit them out again. You can cycle through multiple players F/M, then swap them for say, a D/M on your team, then edit the F/M again etc.

My trade will be Martin out for Macrae tonight, then decide if I want the cheaper ruck/better fwd or vice versa once Kako plays.

Then, tomorrow, press trade edit on Macrae and swap the IN for Petracca etc.
Martin out stays locked, but the in is flexible.
