I think he has good skills but I don’t even think his decision making is up to standard atm anyway. I would be playing Steely over him at the moment

Poor Sonsie, felt for him last night.

He could be an outside weapon for us considering we need that type but just can't make it work.
Is it gameplan? Lack of pace? Lack of footy IQ?
He's so prolific at VFL.

Liked how Lonegran went over to him and gave him a bit of a “chin up” kid was obviously pretty disappointed in being subbed
That said it seems to be his number that’s called when there are others having the same or less impact than him

In the VFL he is the midfielder who goes and gets the ball. He doesn’t look scared in the VFL. In the AFL he is the outside half forward who tries not to be drawn into the contest. Sometimes he gets it wrong and people here question him. Sometimes we have two or even three players drawn into the contest only for the ball to get to the outside and the opposition run away with it. Taranto and Hopper do this all the time We need to get the mix right.

I suspect coaching is playing an element as well. From what I've seen he's not hearing footsteps in marking contests when it's kicked on his head (which is usually the most obvious sign someone's afraid of getting hit), he's just avoiding the ground-ball which we know he has no issue getting in the VFL.

Decision-making with ball in hand is almost certainly over-coaching as well. You can almost see him second-guessing himself (Cumberland looked the same).

No way Mcintosh should be getting game time ahead of him. Let’s see what the kid has when he’s settled in and knows his role. We know mcintosh is not the future and offers very little right now.

Not Prestia. He’s one of the few we have with the skills and smarts to hit I50 targets.
