Definitely look great when we handball through the middle otherwise gotta keep the ball in front of us in defence. Can't have easy balls go over the back everytime

Same fundamental issues.

Overly handballing
Slow stagnant ball movement
Tackles not sticking
Poor inside 50 entries
Losing contests in the middle and ball living in the back half

Every week I expect to see these things corrected. They’ve seemingly become bad habits now.

I’m obviously not writing us off but I think I’ve seen enough to suggest we’re not travelling any better than the rest of the last month.

Mid-forward connection is lacking, outmarked in our forward 50 (probably as a result of previous point) and backline looks vulnerable.

Trying my best not to get fired up, but just show me something for more than one quarter please Collingwood

If ever the weirdos that talk of scripted elite sport wanted a match to point to this would be it! I feel like I’m watching a replay of 80% of the Collingwood v Hawthorn matches this century. It’s frankly staggering we’re just a goal down. Even the Collingwood crowd is flat.

This is mini finals and teams are playing hard and with pressure and we are coasting

We are headed for a first week finals exit if we do not wake up in the next half hour

The margin is the only positive

Hawthorn aren't very good. If we go up a notch, we should win this.

Umpires keeping it close to help Pies out. A couple of wishy washy push on the back for Pies and 6 free kick advantage. Given that Hawks are dirty players.... sounds fair but still Pies lucky calls on those on the back frees.... Hawks missed 2 easy goals, Pies could have easily been down 4 goals.


The defense is just always under pressure it seems. Like a dam about to burst... awful midfield defense so far. Schultz excepted.
