That first quarter felt like the past 4 weeks to me

Same fundamental issues.

Overly handballing
Slow stagnant ball movement
Tackles not sticking
Poor inside 50 entries
Losing contests in the middle and ball living in the back half

Every week I expect to see these things corrected. They’ve seemingly become bad habits now.

Really disappointing to see us moving the ball the same shitty way we have been the last couple of months

Well, It seems pretty clear from that qtr that our 3 losses in 4 games is very indicative of where we are at, not a top 4 side right now. Losing Howe after 60 seconds was incredible, couldn't write that script, he's had some shocking luck. Kicking inside 50 is poor and contests when in there is also poor, ground level D50 defense is poor as well. Much to improve on.

Teams saw Freo beat us with chaos ball and since then have just gone for the jugular. It's basically get it forward bomb it in, whatever ya have to do. Our backline can't handle it without Howe.

Then we do the same thing (bomb it in to our forward line) and it's easily picked off.

Do you think the players were affected by Howe’s injury? They looked shell shocked for a while after he went down.

Congratulations, you’ve picked the dumbest, most pointless hill to die on.

I'm not dying on it. My point all week has been that our problems went WAY FARTHER than Dean. There you go. That's the hill I'd die on. But the silly Dean haters just reduced it to him -- and for the record, I wanted Frampton to replace Dean.

I’m obviously not writing us off but I think I’ve seen enough to suggest we’re not travelling any better than the rest of the last month.

Mid-forward connection is lacking, outmarked in our forward 50 (probably as a result of previous point) and backline looks vulnerable.

Trying my best not to get fired up, but just show me something for more than one quarter please Collingwood
Mid forward connection started when Hill and McCreery came out.

Need to hold it together until they're back.

Can Ned or Titch take one for the team and run full speed into one of their mids? Dirty Jai having a laugh while coming off the field after cleaning up Howe while having no eyes for the ball.

Opposition teams worked our so called gameplan of kicking it down the line ages ago and know how to overcome it with ease.

Unfortunately our brains trust just stare at their computer screens and wonder whats going on without making changes.
