Its going to be very interesting if Rankine comes out and flat-out denies saying it. Unless there are other players who heard it and are willing to say so, or it was picked up by broadcast microphones, it quickly collapses down into our player's word against his. What happens then? Wouldn't the presumption of innocence until proven (or admitted) guilt see him get off?

My guess is they know he’s done it (I assume umpire mics given who reported on it) and this is primarily a box ticking exercise because this stuff doesn’t come out that quickly if it’s false. Denying it would be a bold gamble because it’s rare anyone beats these investigations.

Yes from me. Especially if his running power still lacking. He's usually always able to create a few chances and kick a couple up forward. It's at least a different look.

He can't outmark 15 opposition players crowding the F50. We'd need to change our gameplan if we are to make use of De Goey as a deep marking target in my view.

That’s about the minimum requirement given Graham did similar. It’s no doubt been done to prevent a season ending sanction. Regardless of Collingwood wanting it to go further or not 4 weeks is the minimum, IMO.
