I disagree, as the daughter of a very abusive Dad, its the words that haunt, not the long faded bruises.
This is disingenuous at best, even if you could convince anyone that you actually would instead of being physically assaulted is the mind set of an irrational person. I don't believe you are normally irrational, I think you're just being emotive and vengeful in this topic (and you're not alone).

If Collingwood players were calling Rankine a "girl and a bitch" all game for being knocked out by Houston last year. Given the issues we have in society with domestic violence against women - What's the stance on those players?

The penalties are too severe for this sort of indiscretion, considering who they are bringing out for the Pre Game Grand Final entertainment the AFL need to reassess these penalties? Rankine should get no more than 2 weeks, the AFL have backed themselves into a corner here.

Does open up the conversation as to what sort of abuse is appropriate though.
Clearly Rankine's behaviour crossed a line and will be dealt with, but I wonder if they're taking provocation into account?

Or the investigation isn't as straight forward as it seems, that's why Rankine wasn't aware you could direct it as such and it didn't bother the Collingwood player.

and yes i do care. a friends son has been suicidal at times, its been a long road, and my daughters best friend lived with me for a while because Her parents couldnt accept it. but thats not here or there. when my kids were little i drummed into them, "dont call people names, you can say thats a stupid thing to do, but you dont call them stupid." obviously ramping up as they got older.
its all about respect. and Q is my favourite player!
