Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
So since we still havenāt heard, does anyone think TDK is a chance to stay?
He's had a form spike no doubt. Need to see how he goes with a bit of planned extra attention from the opposition now he's shown that he is capable. Any AFL footballer is capable of great things of not adequately matched up.I've just double punned and you give me this back...lift.
We've no idea who may be chasing him. I'm.worried about the Eagles. As Belinda Carlisle once said, Evans has a place in Perth.
He's just put together the most convincing month of small forward craft we have seen in years...I'm certainly not happy to move him on.
We absolutely need to now, or trade up for a high pick. AFL are in the process of screwing us.

Why on earth would we need to come bottom 6. Be a bit more creative.... Club never ever needs to miss finalsYea I am. Expectations on 2026 are low. We need to finish in the bottom 6 in order to still gain access to Cody Walker. Can the fan base handle a blip to then return to finals in 2027?
Yep, agree. And all this points to a big ticket player leaving for multiple firsts between this year and next. With the understanding that we will both have a fair whack of cap space to play with and some senior places to fill, it's worth thinking about what sort of deals we want to do.
First, unless the AFL 100% tells us we are not going to have access to Cody, we need to trade in a first rounder for next year.
If we improve even a little it will be very hard to match a bid in the top 5 without a second first rounder.
Second we need ruck Depth. It sounds like we have spoken with bothe Reidy (Freo) and Reeves (Haw). Both should be gettable for a nominal draft pick 40+.
Third, we need experienced KPD depth (if JSOS goes). Preferably with AFL experience. O'Farrell injury and Dean's first year make this tough.
This could be an SSP (Phillips, Grainger-Barass) but would prefer a more high ceiling option.
Fourth, we want pace and skill preferable off the HB line, either a high draft pick or trade in. This would probably be looking at getting a value add like D'Ambrosia was at Hawthorn.
Fifth, guaranteeing Dean and Ison. Got to play the shell game with other teams and figure out where the bid is likely. Lot of contingency planning with this.
Lawyers, sit him out for the year, breath testing....We might. If they lock out the first round, how else do we get him?
Would be cheaper to draft into top 5 and take him before bids?If we improve even a little it will be very hard to match a bid in the top 5 without a second first rounder
Not sure if youre being sarcastic, but tanking? About the most corrosive thing to club culture imaginableWhere is this coming from? 2 weeks ago Andrew Dillon said there's no change (this year)... can't imagine they're going to change it for next year, clubs won't be willing to cop a rule change the same year as the draft.
Besides, I've said it a million times, we should focus on finishing last next year... the difference between 18th and 13th is negligible.
Last night Cam Raynor stepped up when needed and was a big reason the Lions got over the line. He would have been ours had we not won a couple of close games in 2017 that were ultimately meaningless for our "winning cultcha". The result was, we drafted Dow because the Lions took Raynor...
You take Raynor out of that Lions side and add him to ours... who knows, we might've gone all the way in 2023...

Anyone notice Matthew Kennedy will likely not take bulldogs to finals?
No I mean rather than buy a second first rounder and use both for matching, buy a top 5 and just select him before bids. Then use the 'natural' first round for another selectionDo you mean tank?

Would prefer to be better at drafting, trading & development than falling lower on the ladder.Where is this coming from? 2 weeks ago Andrew Dillon said there's no change (this year)... can't imagine they're going to change it for next year, clubs won't be willing to cop a rule change the same year as the draft.

I'm really hoping the clean out starts...
Sydney looked hopeless without a key forward... Charlie or Harry would make a world of difference for them, they have mids that can actually hit a target...
All these delusional hypothetical trades involving us getting Gulden or Warner for Charlie... not gonna happen. But the return for one of our key forwards will still be invaluable.
2025 1st + 2026 1st + Dattoli or Green ... we get a promising kid who fills a hole in our list (Dattoli fwd or Green ruck) plus we get a decent pick this year and a very valuable pick for next year's draft.
TDK and JSOS looks like it'll be revealed that they are gone very soon...
With HOF going down, Pitto as main ruck and compromised kpd stocks to add to our inept small forwards and midfield as well as our declining senior players, we really need to focus on rebuilding big time for next year's draft...
Walsh made a big statement that he wants to stay and more importantly WIN with this club. So I can no longer advocate to flick him off as a FA next year.
This still bodes well, we finish last, get pick 1 and then use the Swans 1st from the Charlie/Harry trade to match the bid for Cody.
I'd also look at offering our 2027 1st for another first next year... should really stack our hand for next year's draft. Tigers did it last year and it's looking good for them already...
Don't use Frankie's name in vein pleaseWhy would we trade a player who would āmake the world of differenceā for another club if we arenāt getting one of that clubs best players? Itās like Sydney trading Errol Gulden to us for TDKās compo pick, HOK and Frankie Evans.

Raynor. Z.Bailey. Starcevich. Payne drafted in ā17 by the BLās + Hodge & C.Cameron traded-in.
No, it's not...
I said 2025 1st + 2026 1st + Dattoli or Green.... NOT 2025 1st + Dattoli + Green...
As for why we'd do it, I already outlined that.
