Maybe if you stopped drinking piss and actually paid attention you’ll notice more what happens on the ground. Remember, I’m a neutral supporter so I don’t give a shit about either side, I’m just telling it how I saw and heard it. No.6 was pushing his forehead into his opponent’s face like a numbskull because it wasn’t going his way. He was then throttled by a more senior player for it and told to just play the game.

You can stick up for them all you want but you’re a fool for thinking the south boys can do no wrong.

You wouldn’t even know what I’ve played and who for in my career so try again mate. Hope you enjoyed mad Monday and the hungover that’s clearly come with it 😂👍🏻
What 100 sober buddy

Kicking a team while they're down obviously doesn't sit so easily with some people I guess.

No coach appointed yet maybe indicates a change in direction. Can see 3 to 6 retirements along with Mannix so those tractors may come. Some interesting observers at the game Sunday who are uncontracted at their current club, but who, to be fair, are good mates with a lot of the team.

Will those new tractors not turn the ball over? Make good decisions with the ball in hand? Play selfless footy and put the team first at vital moments? Questions which need answering. Does Carlisle play again? On current form he's a chance at the Bowen he's been so dominant. Boyall and Morris are both getting on, but are still two of the best mids in the comp.

The young guys who played up look good, so there's a bit to look forward to there.

For mine, they fell a game short of where I thought they would end up. Good enough to play finals, but not match the level of Riddell and Diggers.

First step though is, to appoint a coach and go from there.
Exactly. Nolan has done an outstanding job at Wallan and from my limited experience with him his a very respectful person of great character.
Having said that it was strange that Wallan continued to recruit players above 27-28 when they already had enough experience there already. The Cloke one was even more bemusing purely based on his age not anything else. Think Riddell is a great league for developing young talent mixed in with some experience for those not ready for EDFL premier or Ballarat league but wish to gain senior experience.
Wallan will no doubt bounce back but maybe see it as a disappointing year considering last year they made the GF.

Cheers,

Hearing through the grape vine those in charge at centrals were disappointed in finishing last and have a knight in shining armour throw massive coin around and have gone hard after some gun edfl prem and Ballarat league players

Well I think your dismissing a lot of pretty good past history of the footy club to say the culture & standard has been never been this good. In my time the place was always thriving and enjoyable to be around. We have had some fantastic coaches over the journey, locals and people from other places. All my point is if the club doesn't strive for the ultimate success than what's the point. Football clubs over the journey are judged by how many premierships they win, this is in all levels. I don't dislike Nugget but he has had a crack and unfortunately for all involved I believe it is time to try something new or to at least see what options are out there. The committee is doing a disservice to everyone involved if they don't. Not to mention it would go against the club constitution which I'm sure has in it the position is to be advertised every year.
The culture & standard I was talking about was between 2003 & 2015 when we were really struggling as a club.

I know before that the culture & standards were much better & higher.

At the end of the day it's on the club administrators who decides where and to whom the community money goes, not the coach, and then it's about the entire football program holistically utilising the skillsets available.

Nugget's had Wallan in and around the mark for quite a while, and it's bloody hard to win flags as a lot has to go right at the opportune times across 5-6months of games, including the management of bodies etc.
Perhaps no one within yanked on his jacket with a subtle question "you sure about this" and/or genuinely profiled the list beyond a year to year approach - again coach throws up names, footy ops and/or committee's own the yes/no part.

And as Aucklander has stated recently, there are plenty of good kids coming through at Greenhill Reserve, so perhaps their time to shine, after that development phase now presents.

Whatever happens, I just hope if not at Wallan, that Nugget remains a footy person as we need all the passionate and willing folk coaching our game, whilst the many who've never had a go can continue to take pot shots from the gallery.
1. Normally you be correct but not in this case. The coach has pulled all the strings on recruitment and paying out money.
2. You are correct winning flags isn't easy but there must be a time when the question is asked, is this working? I think 10 years is probably time.
3. Under the current coach plenty of good local kids left.
Nugget has done all he can and got mighty close too. I tip my hat to him for that but it is time to see what other options are out there. You cannot keep a coach because they have been around the mark , regardless of the ramifications.

Waited 6 years to come back and dump on the coach just days after what I'm sure is a tough time for him right now.
For the record I think your right maybe I should of sooner. I'm sure it is a tough time as it has been at the end of the past ten seasons but it's never an easy time to have these conversations. They are conversations that need to be had though. Hard questions need to be asked if the ultimate success is what the club is striving for. If the majority of the committee/club is happy just getting close then so be it. I can assure you though the history of the club was built on hard working people making hard decisions to make sure their time, sponsors money and everybody's efforts are not squandered away.

Im just trying to process the club statement but it hurts my head.Wondering if Erin Patterson sat in the meeting and fed a special potion.I did notice the comments got turned off quickly.Unsure why?The whole thing is extremely embarrassing for all involved.

I will gather my thoughts and get back with a positive.
