Next year rnd 1 against Hawks will make it 14 losses in row and by that stage wouldn't have won a match since May 2025.

If we have another poor year again we are in trouble there is only so many losses a player can take before they say i'm outta here

2026 needs to be massive the club needs to show the youngsters that they are on on the way up

I wouldn't be forcing Merret out unless he comes to club seeking a trade.

Your right this years draft is not the one to load up on if we are to ship off some players i would try and grab as many 2026 picks possible

If the new fitness regime can get Parish and Langford up going in 2026 and playing good footy then it will increase their trade value because right now we wont get much.

he’s pretty quick, great grab, good intercepter, can defend below or above his height and clearly essendons best user across half back. Give him a free run of health and playing in a good side will be all Australian.

AFL might have to look into this one.

Because Essendon could pay the exact amount of Ridleys contract, to cover the extra Brisbane would pay of drapers to get Essendon ban 1 compo.

I think if Essendon could get Brisbane future first and band 1 for Draper they would probably accept the trade.

Tom Morris clearly gets some info but you can almost tell from his reporting he puts 2 and 2 together and gets 5.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Ridley and his manager raised some concerns around his injury management during the exit meeting which Morris was made privy to. He then does a bit of digging and finds out Ridley has some family in QLD. Next thing he’s tweeting Ridley has requested a trade to the Lions. Within a couple days Ridley and the Bombers shut it down as rubbish and Morris clarifies that it was “just a discussion and the Bombers convinced him to stick around”.
