It seems that the shooter was or is a mormon.....and his father was in law enforcement at some time and took him to the pastor and then turned him in. You couldnt write a story like this. "Advocating", sure thats not quite right and Mr King shouldn't have used that word. But if you can't recognise what Kirk said as "just asking questions"/"just sayin" type shtick I'm not sure what to tell you.

Based on the early information Tyler Robinson appears to have been more on the right side of political beliefs.

The interesting thing is the Trump assassination attempt and now the Kirk assassination appears to be from perpetrator on the right side beliefs.

Regarding the motivation for the Kirk assassination I don't really know. I'm only speculating that I think as others said that is was a part of Groyper; or the other possibility is to cause conflict/chaos between the Democrats and Republicans.

The US seems to be more divided than ever. Perhaps he thought if he could assassinate Kirk it would lead to the Democrats being blamed and the Republicans would double down on repressing the Democrats and take even more extreme measures are start a war with them.

If he was a Groyper then he may also think that this would push the more moderate Republicans further right with the "us vs them" environment it creates.

That’s the only motivation that comes to mind. He had the opportunity, chance to keep completely quiet and stay hidden. He was the opposite of what FBI were looking for.

The main information I have seen points at it being simply manufacturers marking on the casings. Not sure if there was anything on the gun or whatever. It seems like a sideshow touted by social media attention-seekers.
