There is a big difference between user and decision maker. JOD is a very good user of the ball with good skills, his decision making is that of someone who did not play high level football before his AFL debut

No, one is a basic skill. Skills can be taught or come naturally. Decision making comes with good coaching and experience.

He got on our list after training with no coaching or experience but showed good skills and ability for his size whilst training pre season

To all those supplying updates on the dogs' movements, I really appreciate it. Puts a little spring in my step to not only see the club be incredibly proactive but also target genuine net positive players.

Hasn't been this apparent to me since Keath and Bruce, and it would've been great to see a flag with them both.

Disagree. Its only a poor decision because he's not that good of a user. He can only be trusted to kick 50m +. Thats not how id describe good users personally.

They pay them all $150k a year “to keep the team together”

Nobody gets paid overs, there is a structure and all the players understand

And they get rid of loads of old guys every year who were taking up salary cap….who shouldn’t be getting paid more than 150k anyway…..apparently

Then how would you describe Bailey Dale. Lower disposal efficiency (JOD Is 1% off the best in the competition) more turnovers resulting in scores to the opposition.

You can describe something however you like based on your opinion. Dale is recognised as an elite user yet because of his decision making particularly shorter kicks turns the ball over more. This is a simple fact. He does this biting off more than he can chew because he is an elite uaer

JOD still makes his errors which are statistically few because of decisions he make with inexperience. You personally may believe he can only be trusted to kick 50plus but this in itself is zero evidence he is a poor user, stats do not prove this at all

They have a rule that no one gets paid more than Selwood. Now that Selwood is off the payroll they are all pro bono employees.

Given what we have already taken off our cap with Macrae and Daniel, we have plenty of cap space, particularly if JUH is not on our books
