Finding the rifle assembled nearby is a red flag. I would have though if you have a disassembled murder weapon the obvious thing you do is distribute parts in different locations. Not reassemble the weapon.

Assembly and disassembly is in reference to the scope. I don't think a Mauser can be broken down like a shotgun for example. There's no 'break'.

Why would he leave a screwdriver on the roof? Where was the rifle on the footage when he was running away? Coz he sure didnt jump off that building with it down his pants. If they are suggesting thats what he was holding in his hands and not a packback then I cant see any backpack on his back so where is the backpack then? Seemed very cool walking off campus and crossing the road waiting for cars for someone who presumedly had a rifle in their hands. Why would he dump the rifle and not take it with him?

You could still bend knee a bit if they might have a different proposition by the time it gets to court.

None of this is actually evidence until it's passed through as by the judge when it gets to court. As a death penalty case and the whole world watching, the rules of evidence will have to be strictly followed.

Add to that when you realise who benefis most from his death it screams government job. Trump couldn't have acted anymore non fussed in the days following his close friend Kirk's death, he and his base have used it to ramp up their goal of a dictatorship though. Easy to get disturbed or spooked and just move on quickly leaving it behind.

It's easy enough to assemble again.
