The whole "he left a screwdriver on the roof that he dissembled the rifle with" from Patel yesterday is suddenly missing from the report, now they are running with he didnt disassemble it?? ...I'm still on the fence with this but there are a lot of unanswered questions.
Finding the rifle assembled nearby is a red flag. I would have though if you have a disassembled murder weapon the obvious thing you do is distribute parts in different locations. Not reassemble the weapon.

It must have been one of those magician backpacks that are bigger on the inside, to fit a whole rifle.
They're going to suggest the rifle was down his pants on the way in and the scope was in the backpack, that he assembled the scope on the roof and left the screwdriver behind.
