Yeah, I think it was far more than a one man operation and they all had a specific role (not known to each other but they were told what to do). Would like to know more about the second guy who was walking around with a pellet gun rifle near the scene, if there was anything dodgy about him.

I think Charlie Kirk was probably seen as being prepared to speak his own mind too much for someone with his current and likely future power and influence, and not be perceived to be as pliable as required for the plans of those planning to gain and retain power in the US indefinitely.

So IMO, with what we currently know, it was most likely a home-grown op successfully executed to take out Kirk.

And if so, if the Israeli authorities were monitoring it's progress pre-assassination, and/or they now (or soon will) have incriminating info or evidence of the plan, this knowledge/evidence could be very handy for them as a coercion tool when dealing with the current and future US Governments, and people of wealth and money that interact with or rely on the US Government. Even if they don't have any incriminating evidence, they might be able to get away with bluffing that they do, regardless.
