How many “umms” in the notebook you reckon? No wonder Rowell had that notebook 5 years ago
To start drafting his eventual Brownlow speech

4 umpires WTFIt's hard to believe the Brownlow could have become even more farcical than it previously was, yet they somehow found a way with that NWM blunder. Jeepers creepers.
I think anyone would be if they had 70 votes over two seasons and finished 2nd twice.

I mostly agree with that, but not like he's so far ahead of the comp and it's only a matter of time. There's a decent chance he'll never win one, which is okay. The list of great players who have never won one is far longer than the ones who have.NO midfielder out there gets tagged as heavily as nick does on a weekly basis . He still fights his way through that and performs at an elite level on a weekly basis, especially for someone of his age.
Nothing will change for nick in the coming years, even as the side changes around him.
But who cares? It's literally an award based on the umpire's view of who was best on ground. Theoretically it's from people who shouldn't have a clear bias.If Australia had the responsibility of looking after awards in world football, Pele, Maradona and Messi would never have won best player in any year.
This award is a joke by any standard.
Not sure his time will come if it hasn’t already. Why do they keep showing Nicky in the crowd sulking? His time will come, but most pundits agree he didn't deserve it this year. I'm surprised he even got more than 20 votes - but he does get the 30% vote Daicos bonus.
