Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Can’t imagine the board will allow a deal that will get them thrown out.
You can’t have a new CEO publicly saying you won’t trade a player, privately saying we’d do it if it’s a win, and then crumbling and trading out a contracted superstar with 4 years to go.
It would also condemn Voss in his last year.

It doesn’t make any sense that we would sell him for unders.

I was Weiters as next captain, but when Walshy came back at the end of the year to me there was different level of maturity to him and his language and actions when he came back really stood out to me.

If there is a change at captain then I’m now wanting Walshy to be our next captain.

's contract is front loaded? eg if we offered him $1m per annum for 6 years, and say pay $1.5 for the first 3 and $0.5 for the last 3??? If it is true he is willing to take a pay cut to join the Cats, i guess the question is whether it is truly a cut. Also.....how does his decision to take a pay-cut benefit Carlton? It doesn't. I'd be insisting he pays back some of the money he has been overpaid. In my example, I'd agree to a trade if we get good players from Geelong, and he pays us 3 times $0.5m ($1.5m). Obviously I could be wide of the mark here on facts
