I think Buss gets hard done by because he wasn’t the saviour of our backline.

He performed well enough for me to have faith in him. He didn’t set the world on fire but I thought he was average to solid.

His speed is one of his main concerns and even still he rarely got beat on the lead.

Buss reads the play very well that's why even though he isn't quick he doesn't often get beat on the lead. I think his biggest improvement will come as he gets more core strength to hold his ground in 1v1 tussles. Need to give him mores games to see if he can make the grade

You may not agree with Smiley Boy and others, but it is not outrageous to fail to see Buss as a lock for the backline in the future.

Mutt no one is saying he is a lock. Smiley Boy did not say he has concerns he says he will not make it. Your running a debate with me where you firstly incorrectly state what Smiley Boy said in saying it is fair he has concerns, when that is not what he said at all.

Now your running an argument that it is not outrageous to fail to see Buss as a lock for the backline in the future, when literally no one including me is running that argument at all.

Will be the likely reality if they don't find someone but I think it's unlikely they don't find anyone and I don't think it'll be Frost or May. It might be someone really unexpected in the end.

I've never pictured Buss as a FB but more of a Tom Stewart type. We will hopefully get a FB and then Buss plays on the 3rd/4th forward and roams the arc.

I honestly find this argument self-evidently illogical (and the 13 people that liked it), because it's not, "for whatever reason", the subbing is the evidence that he was playing poorly.

Beveridge isn't some coach throwing darts at a team list who to sub off. There's a reason for who he subs off. Even if you disagree with Bevo (which is fine), you still have to take some information out of who he subs off. I think it's more "I don't think he was as bad as Bevo made him out", not "for whatever reason". There is a reason. I thought he was poor. Bevo thought he was poor. Cherrypicking specific statistics doesn't change that.

The club know exactly where Buss sits currently. I can tell you he is not rated as a lock. His problem is he is a tall wanting to play half back distributor role. Well that role is left for guys who can run with pace when required. So can he improve to become a body on body, strength with speed defender. I hope so yet it’s an uphill battle.

So you’re criticising him for not extending him before he did his ACL? Because Smith letting his contract expire so he could cherry pick the club he wanted to go is not on Power.

We’re not trading out anyone this year so it’s not relevant. But with Smith able to force his way to the Cats in the ND off the back of his knee injury and being a f’wit meaning other teams weren’t going to draft him, we didn’t have a whole lot of leverage to extract more than the pick the Cats would have picked him with.

He was the best performing of our 3 talls and had kept Voss to no disposals in the first only 3 with the 1 goal in the 2nd and after he was subbed Voss kicked 2 and had 7 disposals Traecy had 11 and 2 on Lobb already whilst Amiss had 6 and 3 on JOD

So he was our leading intercept player as well as doing the best job defensively yet was playing so poor he had to be subbed?

Please provide me the proper stats then to show why he was so poor and the obvious choice to be subbed

This was whilst Buss was playing Voss/Amiss/Traecy all ended up with 3 goals
