Lachie Neale 17 disposals, 7 clearances and a goal coming on after halftime. What a beast.
Says a bit about Brisbane that th Hawks had to use CJ as a sub who came on and ran around like a headless chook most of the finals series and Brisbane subbed on a two time Brownlow medallist who puts in a performance like that!

I do wonder if Bruest had not had that horrific injury in the VFL if we would have used him as the sub in the Prelim.

Despite all the media stroking every year about Geelong they have never once got close to winning B2B premierships

I recall the word underachievers being used about Hawthorn in 2012

How many chokes have Geelong had and Dangers still wants a pat on the back for being so good in coming second😗

OMG IVE HEARD IT ALL NOW.

SCOTT SOOKING ABOUT THE SUB RULE.

The AFL literally gift you everything please don’t have the audacity to cry now.

Cats had ample opportunity to sub out Cameron. Scott was crapping on in the presser about them not knowing if it was a break or not. Does it really matter? Bottom line is if it's so painful that it seriously impairs him doing his job, sub him out and get a fit player on the field. He only has himself to blame for not subbing him out when he had the chance. By the time it was patently obvious he couldn't do anything useful they'd already made a tactical sub. Nothing more than poor decision making from the coach.

Got to say I was in the camp where you start L Neale and see how far he could get through because I wasn’t sure he would be impactful as a sub.

Even with Starcevich ruled out shortly after, bringing Neale on after a hot first half when players started tiring was a master stroke. Fagan gets a lot of plaudits for being a great man manager but he (and his coaching team) got that one exactly right tactically

Cameron with a busted arm was still better than what spud stanley was bringing to the table.

With all the prelims and Grand Finals that Chris Scott has lost, I swear not enough is made about how his Geelong team are the greatest anti-dynasty.

It's such a sook thing to say.

With Neale as sub Chris Scott had the advantage of knowing how Brisbane were going to use their sub. (Bring Neale on during the third quarter and to play midfield or wing). Knowing that is a huge strategic upper hand.

And the sub is designed to make sure your team IS NOT DISADVANTAGED by getting an injury. So sub Cameron off and it's still 22 v 22. That's the whole point of it.

But instead he DOESNT use the sub and so it's 21 v 22 and his team falls off.

Then Starcevich gets injured and then Brisbane is at the disadvantage cos they've already made their sub - so it's now 21 v 21. Scott can get himself into an advantage again by subbing Cameron and being 22 v 21.

But what does he do?

Nothing, and has a sook about it.

I guaratee when the sub rule is scrapped he wil be one of the first to complain about being disadvantaged by injury and call for the introduction of a sub rule.

They won three flags in five years, that's better than a threepeat according to cats fans :drunk:

3 flags in 5 better than the threepete, and better than 4 in 8 years supposedly, and pissy VFA premierships from the 1850s are equal to post 90s AFL professional era flags. Make it make sense.
