Can we talk about Danger?
Plays one of the best all time preliminaries.

Starts, goes off 5 minutes into the first and goes for a toilet break? I mean what the actual ….?

And then totally missing for the remainder of the game.

For supposedly one of the greats, that was an all time poor performance.
Bailey smith got the bags mixed up

Danger had teh relaxant in error

He's old. Nobody should've expected a repeat performance. The prelim was a miracle performance that we'll never see again from Danger. Hawks very unlucky.
And played him poorly

If he was sore...and he was, put him one out forward. Particularly one Neale made it clear he didn't feel like catching anything today.

Was a bad day at the office from Scott.

It was remarkable really. He can play a stinker but after last week I wouldn’t have picked it this week.

Illness?

Hard to see how anyone beats them next year with Draper Allen and another academy gun coming through

Ashcrofts wilmot fletcher lohmann morris etc only get better

Scary thing is, they'll be good for years to come.

That dump ended up being the highlight of his day

Will go generally unheralded, but Big O was very good in the forward line in the second half.

Was always keeping a Geelong defender, often SDK, away from the fall of the ball.

I can't remember the last time I saw one of our talls do that. Maybe Pitto?TDK had a habit of jumping at the ball rather than protecting space for Charlie or Harry.
Big Jordy Russell says hi.

It was clever - Fagan took to heart painful lessons from 2023, when Frampton played the same role, and it was critical to the result. "Defensive talls" have a unique role in high-pressure finals, arising from the stifling of conventional key-position forwards, who just don't get any space to work with. Henry and De Koning had ben really influential in the first half, and had stopped Brisbane getting value for their midfield advantage. McInerney made the space for Cameron, Bailey and Lohmann to get to work in concert in the second half, but an important part of why it worked was because Morris worked hard and stayed honest as a contest target, without doing much scoreboard damage.

There has been plenty of criticism of Neale, but he was between a rock and a hard place, because Jeremy Cameron wasn't offering much of anything, even before the Dangerfield collision. Neale couldn't keep Andrews away from the ball, because Geelong's under-pressure midfield needed him presenting... and some of the delivery to him in the first half, when he'd made good position, was dreadful, and by players who had been pinpoint all year too.

Congratulations to Brisbane and Fagan, after their loss to the Pies, I questioned if Fagan had what it takes to get the job done, well here we are and good on him.

Watching today, I was thinking that Harris Andrew’s deserves more respect here, he is one of the best key defenders in a long time, is tough as nails and seeing him give himself a big CMON in the last quarter when he affected a good spoil, just shows he’s about getting his job done, he’s now a multiple AA and a multiple premiership winning captain, respect.

This premiership also puts Brisbane as the clear best team this century, 5 premierships, two runners up and multiple preliminary finals, it’s crazy.

Chris Scott starts his press conference saying not wanting to sound like sour grapes then goes on complaining about the sub rule. Just be humble and concede Brisbane were much better.
If anyone was to whinge about the sub it would be Brisbane, I thought they pulled the trigger a bit early on Neale but he dominated.

Harris Andrews has a ton of respect ...and it was clear all day in the match thread.
Could easily have won the Norm Smith too.
