Guess what fellow Tiger's, we're gunna split a pick (2nd pick). The offers will cum in and make it a little irresistable. This will happen draft night

Who is your preference in of sharp Tomnat?Dyson Sharp is no brainer if you want to get sacked in five years time. Safe pick but his ceiling is far the lowest among mids being discussed in the first round. Waste a top five pick on him and watch the guy we should have taken be a star of the competition.
Seemed to be part of the thinking last draft. So Sharp having chemistry with Kellaway is a very good thing & potentially helps him settle in at the club... cheersI like Grlj a lot, and would be more than happy to take him if we slide down to pick 5-8 or so. Just think Sharp is the more sure-thing, and a defensive mid is something we need. Sharp also has known chemistry with Kellaway.

I would like to think we keep our F2, however, this would be a reasonably good result as I believe both cumming and Greeves have more upside than CDT or Sharp and any 2 of the 4 you've mentioned definitely over one.I can absolutely see a world where Bummers trade 7 & 8 for 4 and a F2. Gets them one of the ‘big 4’, whereas 7 and 8 gets them more speculative picks.
That gives Robey at 3, then 2 of Grjl, Cumming, Greeves or X Taylor at 7/8.
I’m taking 2 of those over 1 x Sharp or CDT.
Agree.Sully pick 3.
Would take NHH, Greeves, Cummings and Poo over Sharp as far as midfielders go.
We take Sharp or Duursma or Robey as that top midfielder.I've seen this view a couple of times on here and here's my general take on it - Drafting is for best available, and trading is for filling needs. We have holes all over the ground, and our midfield is one of the bigger ones.
As it stands, these are the players we drafted in the last four drafts:
2021:
- Josh Gibcus
- Tom Brown
- Tyler Sonsie
- Sam Banks
- Judson Clarke
- Jacob Bauer (Delisted)
2022:
- Kaleb Smith
- Steely Green
- Seth Campbell
- Tylar Young
- Kaelan Bradtke (Delisted)
- Matthew Coulthard (Delisted)
- James Trezise
2023:
- Oliver Hayes-Brown (Category B rookie)
- Kane McAuliffe
- Liam Fawcett
- Mykelti Lefau
- Jacob Blight (Delisted)
- Campbell Gray
2024:
- Sam Lalor
- Josh Smillie
- Taj Hotton
- Jonty Faull
- Luke Trainor
- Harry Armstrong
- Tom Sims
- Jasper Alger
They (alongside the 2025 draft cohort) will be the core of our youth heading into next season.
You could maybe count 5 of these players as midfielders (Smillie, Hotton, Lalor, McAuliffe, and Sonsie). I'm not confident on Sonsie making it, McAuliffe is yet to grab a place, and it's too early to call for Smillie. While I've seen some good signs from McAuliffe, I'm only confident in Hotton and Lalor at this stage.
So in terms of our youth, our midfield is nowhere near done. I think Taranto, Hopper, Prestia, and Ross are fooling us into thinking we can start filling other needs when the whole point is that we need to upgrade on them. They are slow, and their ability to use the ball does not offset their lack in pace. We need to transition away from them as a group, so I'm not counting them as filling a midfield need in the long run. Taranto might be the only one if he has better users of the ball around him.
So if best available at picks 2 and 3 are midfielders, then we should absolutely pick them IMO. We shouldn't trade down to get a couple of players with less potential. A club might do that if their list is almost done, but ours is not at that stage.
I'd vomit if we took NHH at 4.Sully pick 3.
Would take NHH, Greeves, Cummings and Poo over Sharp as far as midfielders go.
That would only be if we traded down. Also obviously doesn't rate Sharp like many others.I'd vomit if we took NHH at 4.
Sharp and Kellaway are good friendsSeemed to be part of the thinking last draft. So Sharp having chemistry with Kellaway is a very good thing & potentially helps him settle in at the club... cheers
Absolute garbage. Top 3 picks are rare. When you get them you use them.Guess what fellow Tiger's, we're gunna split a pick (2nd pick). The offers will cum in and make it a little irresistable. This will happen draft night
This continuing merry go round. Ie. we'll split we won't split our pick(s) is pointless. None of us have a clue. I'm more interested if anyone knows if there is a smokey we could get at the end of the draft or as rookie? Has anyone heard the club is talking to a relatively unknown?Absolute garbage. Are we talking to him or is it just your hope? Where do you see him going?Chambers from eastern. We were also into Oskar but unless we find a pick 10-20 we won’t be getting him![]()
I did not know Richmond was considering shopping for midfielders from overseas?Fk splitting picks i want the best 2 mids
In Australia , i want our midfield to bat deep like
2017 where no team could go with us

So, going by Rookie Me's ratings, then Xavier Taylor & Sully should be our "best available", assuming Duursma & CDT are gone. Both fill needs, and no longer perceived as that much of a "reach" if we use picks 3 & 4 on them.Should add that in the open pool it makes
3. Xav
4. Sully
5. Sharp
6. Schubert
7. Marsh
8. Grlj
9. Farrow
10. Cumming
Strong disagree. He has neat skills when he has 0 pressure on him. As soon as pressure is applied, he becomes more of a 'get it out by any means necessary' kind of player, regardless of where it goes.
I don't want another Short / Hopper / Taranto, so I'd be coaching that out of his game ASAP if we drafted him. The fact he's not using his strength more to free his arms and have an extra half second is a bit of a worry, considering he's just bigger than most players at U18 level. He's not going to have that luxury at AFL level.
