Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Most phantom drafts have Dean coming in before the TDK compo so getting more points would be a plus

I expect our trading will reflect that

Draft combine and state testing will sort out the last few bits of where everything is settling. The starting range suggested by phantoms doesn't match up with the reality of the clubs holding those picks, and the clubs that are a mild chance seem hellbent on trading out.

Doggies seem the first likely bid. Happy for us to have a plan in place with West Coast to salvage things, but we'll already have the SOS compo and two later picks for Dean and Ison. We've also been scouting for later in the draft, but I don't think it'll come to that.

The 'dream' scenario is pick 2, TDK pick, Dean, Ison, and a future 1st, with Chesser, Hayward, Dattoli, Khamis coming in for Acres, Curnow, White, and McGovern.

People need to understand modern media more. Mitch Cleary recieved some "news". That news was that due to DeKonnings huge new deal Carlton could get a free agent in without affecting our compo pick for him. So to make his "news" into a "story" he had to link a free agent. So he plucked Jamie Elliott.

There is zero actual story that we will get Jamie Elliott. The news that technically we can get a free agent on a deal up to about 750k without affecting the TDK compo pick is news that some/most probably didn't know.

Unfortunately we are not in the free agent market this year. For numerous reasons. We are pretty clearly resetting. And thats probably the right path for us considering the exits, the coach situation, and the young players on, and coming onto the list.
