Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

If we get pick 10 off Sydney as part of a Curnow deal, I wonder if West Coast consider 9&10 for F1&19 (Assistance Pick). Maybe we swap our F2 for their F3 too.

I saw some talk West Coast will use Pick 19 to trade for Starcevich. Seems like a no brainer for them.

Offering 3 yrs to a 33yr old is ballsy. The end can come quickly to older players. Nathan Buckley was playing well and then got persistent soft tissue injuries

We have the tank. Why do we need Elliott?

Instantly our best small to medium forward and probably assistant forward coach at the same time.

May also be the senior player from a successful culture to help lift our standards. Late-career Luke Hodge types don't come around very often, but Elliott would still help give the group a kick up the bum.

He obviously had a great season. But yeh would be a very risky move to offer three years

With WCE getting the end of first round pick, wonder if they would have any interest in a deal like

TDK compo (around 10/11) for pick 21 and 24

Maybe with a future 3rd thrown in for Chesser.

Helps them get up the order to players they might rate higher.

That would give us roughly 130 more points which imo is not really worth it, also not sure about a 3rd for Chesser, he’s a hard one to value

Imo ferris, Florent is no longer much of a quality AFL player. I noticed early in the season his massive drop off in intensity. He was not competing well and i remember saying to a mate that with a few Swans stars missing, it was clear that this guy drops right away.

He was quickly dropped by a new Coach without the sentimental attachment Horse obviously had as virtually his NSW "dad" after his family stuff as a young guy. He was then a bits n pieces player in a team with injuries basically all year.

He is still on a big salary for a few years. I'd maybe take him on for nothing. Maybe. But wouldn't spend ANY trade capital.

Get rid of Newman and Hewett too, Sydney didnt want them either.

Trading pick 19 for a free agent that Brisbane can’t afford to match, would be madness.

Don’t forget if Starcevich went to Eagles as a free agent, the Lions get nothing due to getting Allen and Draper, Brisbane can’t afford to match any offer due to its size and lastly WC have pick 1 in the PSD.

To keep things civil and maintain good relationships, id still call them pathetic if they offered anything more than their 3rd round pick, even that Brisbane end up with a 3rd round pick instead of nothing.

Great player, but he’s 33.

We’re not in the premiership window, to benefit from him.

Why not. The guy kicked 60 this season.

If he passes a medical absolutely we should try and get him, if he wants to come and it will have nothing to
do with premiership windows and everything to do with making the list better.

Premiership windows open up when your list is good enough.
