You don't set the value for anything, Even your fellow dees supporters think your irrelevant. I seriously hope he comes top 10 in our best and fairest, but wishful thinking for 12 months in advance doesn't change anything at all. You seem to rate him higher then your entire club, they only offered him a 2 year deal so what makes you think his value is so high? If he was as good as you think he is, surely your beloved dees would have tried harder to keep him...

the entire club rated him 7th and 9th best at the club as a 20 and 21 yr old. so care to explain that? Nah, my dees fans love me. I got us good value for Jackson. No doubt Tim Lamb reads my posts ;P

Sun fans feel Trac and 23 for picks 6&7 is reasonable. If we can snare 11 for Judd we will have 6/7&11

In fairness, they were trying to extend him half way through last year. Length of contract doesn't indicate how highly a club rates a player, especially when trying to manage players from interstate. Judd is a very good player and will be a huge acquisition for us.
Pick 11 is too high but Pick 30 is too low.

Id say McVee has more on the board than Clark had at the time of trading sorry. Clark was dropped from the Geelong side the year we recruited him while McVee's had two top ten best and fairest results already (including one when Melbourne were a decent team) while his 2025 form was better than most think here as he played a lockdown role so his stats went down as a result. I think the trade will be more than our second pick. So the second and one of our thirds which would still leave a third for Whan bid matching.
Yeah but the team that Clark was trying to break into was muuuuuuch better than the one McVee's been playing in

It's a fair point as Geelong is definitely a better organisation than us at the moment, but he did finish top 10 in our BnF in 2023. A year in which we were a kick away from a prelim.
He's definitely had an off year compared to 2023 and 2024, but he did suffer a rough injury in the pre-season and was playing a more limiting role than in previous years.
My starting point would be Pick 11 for McVee and Pick 23, although it would probably be brought down from there
