Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Gosh, remember just post the 21’ flag. He was 24 and a total star. With Petraccca and Gawn by his side. Kid had it MADE.

1 year later I’m in Europe and talking to some Aussie girl spilling the tea on how insane his off field his behaviours are. 6 months after that the media goes all out on him. Today his club are going to pay 700k off his contract just to ship him off.

If I was a demons fan, I would thank the Gods every single ****ing day for that 21’ flag. Every single day. They looked a promised dynasty.

I have my own stories with Clayton. Just before getting drafted, he was copping lots of shit on social media for carrying some extra weight (being compared to Lance Whitnall etc) and I defended him slightly.

Not long after, he sent me a friend request, started chatting with me about random stuff - I didn't know this bloke at all. As soon as he got drafted, our convos became really defensive and he started attacking me for trying to get goss etc (not the case).

Really strange fella and I really hope he gets a good support network around, cause I would hate for a brilliant career to end in such a sad fashion. Look at his CV - he could have become a modern-day great. Massive fall from grace.

I’d be steering well clear, he is absolutely cooked. Slow, can’t defend to save his life, and an absolute butcher. His 1 iron was ability to win the ball 35 times a game and he can’t even do that anymore. Wouldn’t even get a gig in our midfield over guys like Nas, Flanders, Macrae, Hall, Windhager and Phillipou would all be better than him at this point and you’d just be robbing Boxshall, Garcia, Trav, Wilson etc of mid minutes.

Outside of West Coast I can't think of a club that is in worse shape the next 3-5 years.

They are essentially 1 year in to a full list rebuild and we know they take time.

And the rebuild is at the wrong time for them Tassie coming in. Thats what occured to us when GWS came in

I'd be very surprised if the club wasn't aware, or didn't initiate this, and doesn't have someone lined up. We will find out shortly.

on Mission, it's a good time imo, but we must push for a club-appointed GM and not a Ross-appointed GM. One of the 3 most important jobs in a footy club. We can't get sucked into the now and forget about the future and repeat post-2012.

Could see Ross pushing for Zac Dawson in that role
