Ahh I see, cheersYes you can trade. Its why the report about West Coast giving their free end of first round to the Lions is gross. Essentially gifting the Lions a first round pick rather than just protecting their compo.

If only we didn't delist him lol, suns do need some more depth in their backline. Wouldn't of been the worst idea to throw him in lol.So maybe they want leggy?

They will have petracca. Don’t need JordyI'd be curious if a first round pick and Degoey would get close? They are very similar players at different ends. Jordy's got plenty of good football left in him if we can get his body right. I'd be more reluctant to lose hill than Jordy.
Jordy not going anywhere, he has a new farm and a baby on the way, no way he'd be moving to GC.Would Degoey's name come up in any discussions?
He kicked 3.1 in the Suns final against Freo. He's playing as a forward. What forwards get 20 possessions a game. The one's who do play midfield/forward.
You'd be turning a couple of speculative teen picks into a young sure thing with star potential.
Definitely worth our two future firsts if the AFL allow it.
Statistically speaking he is averaging about 15 touches a game.
Is he more impactful than what the stats show?
But in your words, “The bloke can't even play a whole season and is at the end of his career” - what value would he have if this is the case?Suns are actively seeking mature players with finals experience to help bridge their age gap
The Suns wouldn't take this version of DeGoat. He will finish his career at the Pies, plus the Suns want a small crumbing forward. They have been open about that....Jordy not going anywhere, he has a new farm and a baby on the way, no way he'd be moving to GC.
He seems to be happy as a pig in mud these days.
How?Flanders a big no and lets not waste our time on him, losing (or pushing him out ) Bobby to get Humphries is a negative in anyway you look at it, NET gain is zero, so would rather keep Bobby and deal another way, I don't have a hard on for this guy like some others do though.
Fine, they can have Billy, he wants to be closer to his brother anyway. The Suns wouldn't take this version of DeGoat. He will finish his career at the Pies, plus the Suns want a small crumbing forward. They have been open about that....
It also doesn’t sit right with me team building wise. You’d bring in Humphrey to replace most of De Goey’s midfield minutes so that he can play forward and ideally extend his career / play more games in the seasonNo way can we trade Jordy unless he asks.
He’s settling down and expecting his first child. He’s given everything to us since turning his life around and has been loyal.
Morally it doesn’t feel right, regardless of who is up for trade
How many times do you reckon you give this a run over the next 12 days?
Would be the same at Collingwood as well.If he wants more midfield I can understand the dees appeal. No petracca . No oliver.
Could have? he WAS behind the Roan Steele move. Roan was basically his personal pickup. He'd been watching him for a while.Shane o Bree could have also been behind the roan steele move, which is starting to look like a nice pickup.
He walks into our midfield too and gets to play with Nick for 10+ years. Must better propositionIf he wants more midfield I can understand the dees appeal. No petracca . No oliver.
His finals ability, suns wouldnt care less about his regulaer season form. The driving factor is his ability in finals. He is perfect for them but unfortunately we need to do everything we can to get young guns in.But in your words, “The bloke can't even play a whole season and is at the end of his career” - what value would he have if this is the case?
Yeah that’s a real possibilityI have HH coming into the side next year to allow Beau to shift into the midfield.
Yep.Sounds like you and I are on the same page with this. A key difference between Clarry and Beamer is that Melbourne wouldnt walk away with pick 18 and a future first for Oliver.
The other thing I've been considering is that some of Clarry's issues are less than clear for those of us on the outside, so we're left to speculate to some degree. The club will have access to more info than we will and we won't have a rogue President pushing through a deal as Eddie apparently did with Beamer. So I'm comfortable enough in trusting our recruitment team and coach to make the call here.
AFL will let usHe's playing as a forward. What forwards get 20 possessions a game. The one's who do play midfield/forward.
