It's going to be hard going if we have to primarily rely on Stanley, Blitz, and SDK.

Stanley is done, Blitz will break sooner than later and SDK doesn't have it imo.

No, he would not have made any positive difference.

If it was the 2021 version of Oliver? Yes. The 2025 version? Hell no - he is crap

Hes was actually an above average extractor and ranked 25th in the league this season with 5.5 a game, only Atkins and Smith ranked higher for us.. For comparison Worpel was 47th. But yes down from his career average of 6.5 a game, doubtful he gets back to that form. Personally I’d take him over Worpel on a fair contract but that’s done and dusted so no point talking about it for mine

Make of this what you will, but the Saints accept Marshall is wanting to leave and head to Geelong. They'll spar back and forwards with Geelong as there's some time to go before the deadline for trades, but the general acceptance is that this years first rounder will get it done. Geelong have apparently made it clear that this deal is their priority and that's all they're offering. No Geelong players involved in the trade.

This is from a reliable ITK with "very close" connections at the Saints. Also mentioned that the pick they get for Marshall will be needed to get other deals done.

If things have stalled with Marshall, I'd be on the phone with Heath - he can go to Melbourne where he sits behind Gawn for the next couple of seasons, or he can make his way down the highway with a round 1 spot there for the taking

Hawthorn has known about this move for months now, and if they truly wanted Worpel to stay, they'd have offered him a better contract long before now. They didn't, which tells me they weren't fussed either way. I'd be very surprised if they now turned around and matched the bid when they could have (or should have if they really, really wanted him to stay at hawthorn) months ago.

Steele likely to end up at WCE if he's to find a new home - they've been the only club linked to him outside of St Kilda

I don't really understand why they want to keep him. A 30 year old ruckman played out of position as the 3rd tall? Why bother?
