Just saying, as a break glass in case of an emergencyIt's going to be hard going if we have to primarily rely on Stanley, Blitz, and SDK.
Stanley is done, Blitz will break sooner than later and SDK doesn't have it imo.
A well below average big bodied extractor?
No, he would not have made any positive difference.
If it was the 2021 version of Oliver? Yes. The 2025 version? Hell no - he is crap

Interestingly over on the Hawks board they're demanding the club match our offer for Worpel to make us pay an FRP for him
lol.. lmao even
- no one is paying a first round pick, that's when we'd walk away
Of course they are wanting that.Interestingly over on the Hawks board they're demanding the club match our offer for Worpel to make us pay an FRP for him

Crazy things are happening- no one is paying a first round pick, that's when we'd walk away
Surely he nets them a band 3 compo pick to come in after their round 2 pick
I'm also doubtful of Ben's suggestion here the they'll get end of first round pick

Spending the same currency on Curnow would have made more sensePetracca choosing Gold Coast is an interesting one
Yeah i hope we have a back up idea , THATS IF... AND IF Marshall isn't coming to GeelongIf things have stalled with Marshall, I'd be on the phone with Heath - he can go to Melbourne where he sits behind Gawn for the next couple of seasons, or he can make his way down the highway with a round 1 spot there for the taking
Hawthorn has known about this move for months now, and if they truly wanted Worpel to stay, they'd have offered him a better contract long before now. They didn't, which tells me they weren't fussed either way. I'd be very surprised if they now turned around and matched the bid when they could have (or should have if they really, really wanted him to stay at hawthorn) months ago.Interestingly over on the Hawks board they're demanding the club match our offer for Worpel to make us pay an FRP for him

We would just walk away if they did thatInterestingly over on the Hawks board they're demanding the club match our offer for Worpel to make us pay an FRP for him

That midfield next year is going to be scary, Rowell, Anderson, Miller and now PetraccaPetracca choosing Gold Coast is an interesting one

Or Ross doing Ross things
As would I.I'll hold out for Marshall
Is he in any position to move away from Melbourne and his kids though than he was when we last approached him?As would I.
But, if it goes pearshaped and doesn't get done for some reason, Todd might be a good one year option
Then cats just walk lolInterestingly over on the Hawks board they're demanding the club match our offer for Worpel to make us pay an FRP for him

St Kilda genuinely wants to keep Marshall. If they do trade they want 1st round pick as they are still chasing Freijah and a 2nd round for RyanMake of this what you will, but the Saints accept Marshall is wanting to leave and head to Geelong. They'll spar back and forwards with Geelong as there's some time to go before the deadline for trades, but the general acceptance is that this years first rounder will get it done. Geelong have apparently made it clear that this deal is their priority and that's all they're offering. No Geelong players involved in the trade.
This is from a reliable ITK with "very close" connections at the Saints. Also mentioned that the pick they get for Marshall will be needed to get other deals done.
Closing comment was ----- "the deal will get done".
Can’t see us getting either but do you reckon Clubs would value Steele or Clarry more? Assume crows get one given the huge need for an inside mid
I don't really understand why they want to keep him. A 30 year old ruckman played out of position as the 3rd tall? Why bother?St Kilda genuinely wants to keep Marshall. If they do trade they want 1st round pick as they are still chasing Freijah and a 2nd round for Ryan
